Becca Kufrin is opening up about why she gave Garrett Yrigoyen her coveted First Impression Rose on The Bachelorette's premiere.

But one in particular caught her attention and sparked her interest: The guy who stepped out of a minivan.

That guy was Garrett, a 29-year-old medical sales representative from Reno, NV, whom Becca admitted on Night 1 she was "smitten with" ever since laying eyes on him.
After a long night of wild first impressions and stimulating conversations, Becca chose to give the first rose of the season to Garrett because he put her at ease and she immediately felt comfortable around him. It also didn't hurt Garrett managed to make the self-proclaimed "nerdy" Bachelorette laugh.
"After all that crazy drama, I knew the First Impression Rose was on the table for one lucky guy," Becca wrote in her People blog. "Making that decision wasn't as easy as I thought, I had just met so many amazing suitors."
Although Garrett was a great choice for the rose in Becca's mind, he wasn't exactly the only or obvious choice.
"A majority of the guys could have received that rose in their own right, but I really wanted it to go to someone special and who not only made the night fun, but who I could potentially see a growing relationship," Becca explained in her blog.
Garrett impressed Becca with his minivan entrance because it showed how he can't wait to be a husband and father. He also taught her how to fly-fish in the pool at the Los Angeles mansion, which was a unique activity and ice-breaker that reminded her of wonderful childhood years with her father.

"After Garrett's clever and charming entrance, fly-fishing and easy conversation, I knew he'd be someone I hoped would be around for a while," Becca admitted.
She also figured Garrett could handle the stress and pressure that comes with the highly sought after First Impression Rose.
RELATED LINK: 'THE BACHELORETTE' COUPLES NOW"I understood that with issuing this rose, Garrett might have a small target on his back," noted the 28-year-old publicist. "But I figured he'd be chummy enough with the guys to navigate any initial jealously that may arise."
But Becca's decision wasn't entirely selfless, as she added, "Plus, I kind of wanted to see his big smile again."
Becca's first night as the Bachelorette ended with her narrowing down the cast to only 21 bachelors.
