Grant made the seemingly difficult choice to eliminate three women during his week in Scotland preceding hometown dates: Carolina Quixano, Alexe Godin, and Sarafiena Watkins.

Grant therefore selected Dina Lupancu, Juliana Pasquarosa, Litia Garr and Zoe McGrady as his Final 4 bachelorettes.

According to The Bachelor star, each woman brought something unique to the table and was special to him.

Grant said, Dina, for starters, was "really independent and really strong" during a recent interview with Us Weekly.

During their one-on-one date in Madrid, Dina had told Grant that they'd have an equal partnership and, while it's very manly of a guy to provide for his family, it's also manly for a guy to accept and embrace the fact his wife can do the same.

"It was a newfound relationship for me and I was really intrigued by that dynamic because I had never had that before," Grant explained to the magazine.

"It opened my perspective a lot. Our relationship really progressed over time. She was really type A and very organized, but she also had a deeper side to her."

When it came to his romance with Juliana, Grant said she caught his eye right away.

"From Night 1, we really connected over our love of playing the piano," Grant shared.

"We always had that physical chemistry, and then we started to really develop an emotional connection. Every relationship was different, but that was a relationship that really developed over time."

Grant seemed to have a similar connection with Litia, who also stood out to Grant early in the process.

"We connected emotionally and were attracted to each other," Grant said.

And with Zoe, Grant apparently liked how she paved her own path and didn't let the other bachelorettes get her down.

"Her boldness was something that was interesting," Grant said of the bachelorette, who had been criticized earlier in the season for stealing Grant's time and having an aggressive dating approach.

"She really was there to put herself out there and I saw that. Then getting to know her story, I could really relate to her."

Since feelings were definitely involved, Grant said hometown dates were "a lot harder than" he "expected" them to be, according to a preview of what's to come on The Bachelor.
