The Bachelor in Paradise cast probably anticipated the process to go smoothly following "The Split" twist, but Justin Glaze's unexpected return to the beach rocked Paradise.

On Monday night's episode, Justin showed up in Paradise hoping to meet Eliza Isichei. She's the only woman he was interested in at that point, and Justin said he didn't want to leave Mexico without seeing if she lived up to his expectations and they could have a connection.

Because Rodney Mathews didn't ask Eliza to stay with him and decline the date invitation, Eliza and Justin enjoyed a romantic evening that ended with a kiss.

Heading into the next Bachelor in Paradise episode on Tuesday at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, Eliza will be forced to choose between the two men who are competing for her attention and affection.

And according to ABC, a wave of new male arrivals will turn up the heat in Paradise.

The male newcomers will show up with Date Cards, putting even some of the strongest couples on the beach to the test.

"But can they talk things out or will mixed messages spell the end for the troubled pairs on Bachelor in Paradise?" ABC teased.

The pairs who are not "troubled," apparently, are Brandon Jones and Serene Russell as well as Michael Allio and his "perfect match" Danielle Maltby.

Victoria Fuller also finally decided between Johnny DePhillipo and Alex Bordyukov.

Following an intimate date, Victoria and Johnny realized that they're "falling in love" with each other, and Victoria put the realtor's mind at ease by telling him that he checked off all of her boxes.

Based on a preview of what's to come, Genevieve Parisi and Aaron Clancy will get into a fight, and Kate Gallivan may have wandering eyes away from her smitten Logan Palmer.

And what happens to Andrew Spencer and Jessenia Cruz, and what about Brittany Galvin and Tyler Norris?

Also, does Shanae Ankney and Jacob Rapini's new romance last after they both had multiple failed attempts at finding love on the spinoff?

Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 was filmed in June

Even though Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise is the first season of the show to air as part of ABC's fall schedule rather than its usual late-summer scheduling, the Paradise season was still filmed in June similar to prior seasons.

The production schedule means that Bachelor in Paradise's Season 8 final Rose Ceremony couples will have spent nearly four months navigating their relationships in "the real world" by the time the season finale airs on ABC -- longer than any other Bachelor in Paradise season!

Bachelor in Paradise host Jesse Palmer took to Instagram on June 9 and posted a photo of himself posing next to an "open" sign on a beach decorated with blankets, vases and lights.

"With the power vested in me, I now officially declare Paradise OPEN!!!" Jesse captioned the image, announcing that Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season had begun production.

Bachelor in Paradise reportedly wrapped filming during the week of June 30.

Jesse Palmer called the Bachelor in Paradise season "crazy"

"It's insane down here. It's absolutely crazy," Jesse told Us Weekly while the season was still filming.

"There's all these people. There is just so much chaos, so much drama, and never-before-seen things down here taking place in Paradise... And we've been switching things up. We've been changing things up and it's hard to keep track of it all, to be honest."

Jesse said the show was already "amazing" at that point, adding how he was "having so much fun."

"I always wondered as a fan of the show, 'How paradise-y was Paradise?' And I can tell you, it is so much fun. It really is paradise. This place is magic," Jesse gushed.

Rachel Recchia shows up in Paradise

During The Bachelorette's Season 19 finale, a promo of Bachelor in Paradise's season featured Rachel Recchia making an appearance at the Paradise resort in Mexico.

"He is so great. He really is. I'm going to cry because I'm so happy!" Rachel gushes to her girlfriends.

When asked in what capacity she'll be a part of the show, Rachel told Variety in a recent interview, "They're going to tune in and find out... I definitely make an appearance on the beach. What happens? Everyone will just have to wait and see, but it’s definitely crazy down there."

However given the Bachelor in Paradise season was filmed after Rachel got engaged to Tino Franco at The Bachelorette Season 19's final Rose Ceremony in May but before Rachel and Tino subsequently split up in August, Rachel didn't go to Paradise looking to find love.

Rachel's Bachelor in Paradise appearance was then presumably just a guest appearance in which she hosted a date or visited her fellow former The Bachelor and The Bachelorette castmates.

Eliza Isichei gives Rodney Mathews a rose but then quits

As Bachelor in Paradise viewers saw on the season's October 31 episode, Justin Glaze was able to return to the beach after the third Rose Ceremony and took interest in Eliza Isichei.

But Rodney Mathews had also set his eyes on Eliza during the twist and even ended up breaking up with Lace Morris to pursue a shot at love with Eliza, leaving Eliza in a love triangle.

Eliza reportedly eventually chose to give Rodney a rose and walk Justin out at the season's fourth Rose Ceremony.

However once she returned to Bachelor in Paradise's beach, Eliza told Rodney she had felt pressured to give him a rose and decided to quit Paradise instead of pursuing a romance with Rodney.

There was a lot of other drama on the rest of Bachelor in Paradise 8

Hayden Markowitz and twins Joey Young and Justin Young arrived either before or after the third Rose Ceremony, according to Carbone. Hayden reportedly didn't last long but the twins stuck around for a while.

The last three women who entered Paradise were Mara Agreat, Ency Abedin, and Lyndsey Windham, all from Clayton's The Bachelor season.

"When Lyndsey came on the beach, there weren't many options, so she asked Logan, [and] Kate told him she didn't want him going on a date so Lyndsey just went home," Carbone wrote in his June 28 blog post.

Shanae Ankney, Florence, and Mara also reportedly got caught up in a five-way love triangle with Joey and Justin, and Andrew and Jessenia got together at one point.

Kate Gallivan reportedly also emerged as a villain during the Bachelor in Paradise season.

Six solid couples had been established when the season began wrapping up

Carbone tweeted on July 6, "(SPOILERS) Here are your BIP final couple results. Finally got these last night."

The established couples at the end of the season included Aaron Clancy and Genevieve Parisi, Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby, and Brandon Jones and Serene Russell.

The rest of the strong Paradise couples were Logan Palmer and Kate Gallivan, Tyler Norris and Brittany Galvin, and Johnny DePhillipo and Victoria Fuller.

Aaron Clancy and Genevieve Parisi broke up and left Paradise alone, and so did Logan Palmer and Kate Gallivan

While Aaron and Genevieve were going strong for most of the Bachelor in Paradise season, they broke up and decided a relationship wouldn't work in the real world.

Logan and Kate's romance also faltered, and the pair split up before Bachelor in Paradise's Final Rose Ceremony.

Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby left the show dating, and so did Tyler Norris and Brittany Galvin

Michael and Danielle made a love connection and left Bachelor in Paradise as a couple.

Tyler and Brittany also fell hard for each other, and so they decided to leave the Paradise resort together and keep dating.

Brandon Jones and Serene Russell got engaged, and so did Johnny DePhillipo and Victoria Fuller

Carbone reported back in late June, "The only couple I'm almost positive is gonna get engaged is Brandon and Serene. In fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't. Outside of that, anyone's fair game to break up."

Brandon Jones did propose marriage at the Final Rose Ceremony to Serene Russell, who left Bachelor in Paradise with a diamond on her finger.

Later on, Carbone also reported that although Johnny DePhillipo wasn't ready to get engaged to Gabby Windey on The Bachelorette, he did pop the question to Victoria Fuller and the couple got engaged before they left Bachelor in Paradise!

Tyler Norris and Brittany Galvin broke up after returning home

Although Tyler and Brittany decided to leave Paradise together and continue dating in the real world, things didn't end up working out for them.

According to Carbone, Tyler and Brittany broke up at some point over the summer.

"[They] left as a couple, but have since broken up," he wrote in blog post on September 27.

Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby are still together

This fall, Michael hinted he may be in love in an October 3 Instagram post.

"We found love in a hopeless place," Michael captioned a photo with Andrew Spencer at the time, quoting a popular song.

Michael and Danielle were also photographed dancing together at Wells and Sarah Hyland's wedding on  August 20, Life & Style reported.

Carbone also confirmed Michael and Danielle are still together in an October 18 blog post.

"Michael and Danielle are still together to this day, so it's all worked out for them," he wrote.

Victoria and Johnny reportedly broke up after she cheated on him!

Carbone revealed in an October 25 blog posting that Victoria and Johnny reportedly split in early September.

Rumors have recently been swirling that Victoria cheated on Johnny, and two Bachelor Nation sources have told YouTuber Dave Neal that Victoria cheated on Johnny TWICE!

One of the men Victoria had cheated on Johnny with is allegedly The Bachelorette alum Greg Grippo, who competed for Katie Thurston's heart on the show's seventeenth season.

Carbone said he hasn't heard anything about the cheating allegations, but in late October, Johnny added to the rumor mill by posting on his Instagram Stories how he's "unwell."

Victoria is reportedly dating former The Bachelorette bachelor Greg Grippo now

On October 21, a Bachelor Nation fan claimed to have seen Victoria and Greg together while she was visiting The Colosseum in Rome, Italy.

A second fan then also claimed to have seen Victoria and Greg walking a quiet street while enjoying her honeymoon in Capri, an Italian island that is only a couple of hours away from Rome by train and ferry.

Unfortunately neither fan was able to take a good photo or video showing the faces of the alleged couple, leaving the legitimacy of the claims uncertain.

However, the sightings were consistent with prior rumors Carbone said he had heard.

"I did hear 2 weeks ago 'rumblings' about Victoria and Greg Grippo being involved together in some capacity," Carbone wrote in his October 25 blog posting.

Carbone couldn't confirm or deny that Victoria and Greg were recently in Italy together, but he had heard there is "definitely" something going on between Victoria and Greg and they're "in communication" -- whether that means they're talking, hooking up or dating.

"All I know is they are definitely in contact since her breakup with Johnny. Whether it played a role in the breakup I'm not sure," Carbone explained.

But later on October 25, Carbone tweeted a new update that he had now confirmed Victoria and Greg were indeed in Italy together.

"(SPOILER NOW CONFIRMED): Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo in Rome today near the Trevi fountain. Video coming soon," he wrote.

Carbone then proceeded to post a video which appeared to show Victoria and Greg each dressed very casually and attempting to obscure their appearances.

Victoria and Greg each wore sunglasses and large, loose-fitting coats and appeared to be doing their best to go incognito, with Victoria wearing casual large white pants and Greg seemingly wearing dark jeans and a baseball cap.

The Roman fountain footage represented a big wardrobe change from the earlier photo that allegedly showed Victoria and Greg in Capri.

The Capri photo, seemingly taken in the evening, appeared to show the couple openly enjoying a date night outing. Neither Victoria and Greg wore coats or hats, and Victoria was wearing a tight-fitting miniskirt outfit with knee-high boots.

On October 26, Carbone tweeted out an additional photo taken earlier that day which showed Victoria and Greg at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome.

"For those who STILL didn't believe that was Greg and Victoria in Italy... here's another. On the shuttle at FCO airport in Italy at 10am local time this morning," he wrote.

"Just so we're clear, Victoria & Greg are back in the states now," he added in a pair of followup tweets. "They flew from Rome to Newark this morning and landed about 90 minutes ago. She's headed back to Nashville now."

"So when she inevitably posts something from home either later tonight or tmrw, save your 'See, she's in Nashville' takes. I don't know why some of you are having a hard time accepting they were in Italy this past wknd until today when they flew home."

Victoria and Greg's faces were clearly visible in the photo, which appeared to have been taken by another passenger on the same shuttle.
