And so when there was only one rose left to hand out at the Rose Ceremony, Allyshia -- apparently predicting her elimination -- interrupted host Jesse Palmer's speech to announce that she and Sean were going to leave.
At that point, however, there were still two couples -- Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon as well as Lea Cayanan and Jonathon Johnson -- who weren't romantically involved with each other, and so Keith criticized Sean and Allyshia for being too impulsive or reactive.
"I think it was more so [about] not giving them the satisfaction," Sean revealed during the Tuesday, August 19 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast when asked why he and Allyshia didn't wait to see how things played out.
"It was like, 'You didn't vote us off! We left on our own!' But in reality, we were done anyway."
Sean said it didn't matter how he and Allyshia handled things because they "were done" regardless.
Not only did Sean feel betrayed by his then-close friend, Katherine "Kat" Izzo, but Sean recalled, "Allyshia felt betrayed by her friends, too. We just weren't -- it wasn't fun anymore."
Sean admitted he was "enjoying the hell out of Paradise" until it just wasn't fun anymore.
"And truthfully, there was no way we were going to [make it to the end]. We were going to be gone the next week anyway," Sean explained to the podcast's co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.
"After this, there is no way we are staying. So, it was just time to go."
But Joe pointed out that had Sean and Allyshia stayed, they probably would've had an opportunity to win a competition and secure their safety in the game.

"The strategy element... people came to me afterwards and said, 'I probably should've listened to you a little bit more towards the end,' because obviously we know how it ends. But I wanted to be able to control the game, in a way."

Sean said, for instance, that when a couple won a competition, the man or woman was able to hand out the first rose at the next Rose Ceremony.
"In my mind -- and this is how deep it went -- I was like, 'What if I hand it out to another guy?'" Sean questioned.
"Everyone is voting for [Brian Autz], so what if I hand it out to Brian and then he gives it to [Parisa Shifteh] and everyone thinks we're safe and they're not voting for us and then I get another rose in the end? You can kind of manipulate the vote that way and get people out."
When Allyshia and Sean chose to self-eliminate at the Rose Ceremony, Allyshia explained how it was very difficult for them to have their character and integrity questioned when they had both joined the show to find love.
"We would like to make the decision to leave together on our own accord. We are leaving here with something so much more valuable than money could ever buy and we'll continue on in our relationship in Tampa and get a big, fat bucket of popcorn to watch all this back," Allyshia shared with the cast.

Allyshia therefore quipped, "I think it's time to mow the lawn," and then Sean added, "I think you guys just voted off the strongest couple here."
Allyshia and Sean proceeded to walk out of Paradise hand-in-hand, and Sean shouted on his way out, "[Dale Moss], I love you, but Kat, don't call me crying after this one ends."
Jess Edwards then murmured, "'We're going to leave with integrity,' but we're going to sh-t on everyone while we leave... That's a f-cking joke."

The women laughed, and Dale called Sean's behavior "wild."
Kat also made fun of Allyshia for being a bad picker of men.
"She's probably embarrassed. I feel bad for her," Kat told the cameras.
But Allyshia seemed proud of her decision-making and said she had no respect for any of the people in Paradise.
"Kat is an absolute joke of a human being. Sean came in here defending you every single day... and it was you that painted a narrative that wasn't true," Allyshia claimed.
"I am disgusted by you and I can't wait for karma to come full circle."
Sean also insisted he would've died for Kat before she betrayed him.
"Dale is going to leave Kat the moment this sh-t ends. Everyone knows that," Sean told the cameras.

The final rose of the night went to Lea, who offered it to Jonathon. The vote resulted in Brian and Parisa getting eliminated from Paradise.
