Bachelor in Paradise bachelorette Hunter Haag has accused Jacob Rapini of lying and being two-faced while they filmed the show in Mexico together.

Hunter recalled being surprised by and disappointed in Jacob when the pair had filmed Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season in June during a recent appearance on the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast, which was co-hosted by Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker and Jill Chin.

Hunter -- who was denied a rose and got sent home during the first Rose Ceremony of Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season -- shared on the podcast how, besides Johnny DePhillipo, "the only other person" she was "kind of" interested in pursuing on the beach was Jacob.

At the beginning of the season, Jill was only friends with Jacob, and so Jill said she had actually tried to hook Hunter and Jacob up.

"I remember this because before the first Rose Ceremony, when everything started to hit the fan, I was like, 'I need to find Hunter a rose! I need to find her a rose immediately!'" Jill said.

"So I was like, 'Jacob!' And I was like, 'Okay, Hunter, go talk to Jacob. Let's set it up!'"

Hunter then shared what she remembered of that exchange.

"Jill actually came to me and said, 'Jacob said that he was interested in you, go talk to him!'" Hunter recalled.

"And I didn't want to be a rose hunter, but also, like, I guess I can have a conversation with him and see how it goes."

Hunter said her chat with Paradise's "Tarzan" was "fine."

"But he also mentioned -- he was like, 'Well, you know, I might give a rose to [Kira Mengistu], I might give a rose to [Hailey Malles]. I might give one to Jesse Palmer.' And I'm like, 'Alright, [this is silly].' He didn't even mention [Lace Morris], but that's who he ended up giving it to."

After Hunter said she and Jacob had a good conversation, she claimed that she "overheard Jacob talking" to his pal Logan Palmer at the bar.

Hunter proceeded to spill the tea, with Jill egging her on to do so.

"[Jacob and I] just had a conversation on one of the daybeds. We go over to the bar and I overhear him talking because I started talking to Jill or maybe someone else," Hunter claimed.

"He had just told me, 'I find you very attractive and I definitely want to get to know you better, and I could see myself getting to know you.' [And then] he's over at the bar five minutes later being like, 'I don't see anything with any of these girls. My girl is not here. I don't feel a spark with anybody.'"

Hunter went on to complain, "He had just told me... that he had interest in me! So I was like, 'Oh okay, I see how you're doing this.'"

Natasha therefore asked Hunter if she had confronted Jacob about this alleged lie.

"I should've [spoken up]," Hunter confessed.

"I was taking mental notes. But I should've been like, 'Oh, Jacob! So you didn't mean what you just told me two seconds ago?!' So I told Jill that too [way after the fact]... A little too late."

Hunter left Paradise without having found love, but she said she went to Mexico with a different goal.

"I really wanted to work on self-growth -- being vulnerable... and being true to myself and being my whole honest self," Hunter explained to Joe, Natasha and Jill.

"That was a huge goal for me," she noted, "was just being more than surface level."

But at the end of the day, Hunter said she would "consider going on Paradise again," clarifying, "It depends on who would be there... I'd have a list of people [with whom] I'd want to explore things... There are definitely specific people."

Hunter, for instance, said she would've liked to have met Rick Leach on the beach and she's "always interested in the unknown," meaning fairly new bachelors to the franchise.

Prior to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise, Hunter competed for Clayton Echard's heart on The Bachelor's 26th season.

For Jacob's part, he competed for Rachel Recchia on The Bachelorette's nineteenth season.

After rejecting Hunter in Paradise, Jacob had a few flings until he went on a date with Jill later in the season and their quirky friendship shifted into a connection and something more romantic.

Jill became totally smitten with Jacob and she said she could see a future with him, but they were separated during the infamous "The Split" twist, when Jill and her girlfriends were whisked away to a nearby hotel while Jacob and several other men were introduced to new ladies.

Jacob, who had a wandering eye for Kate Gallivan, broke up with Jill after "The Split" twist and they both left Paradise single.

But, according to Jill, the couple reconciled in October and gave their relationship another shot. However, Jill recently revealed on "Click Bait" she "had no other choice" but to dump Jacob shortly after the reunion show aired in late November.

Jacob later penned a heartfelt public letter to Jill, apologizing for the way he had acted.
