Ashley McNeely, who competed on A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, has died at age 35.

McNeely was found dead on Thursday, May 4, in his hometown of Beckley, West Virginia, TMZ reported.

Law enforcement sources told the website that police responded to an incident, however, additional details have not been released.

The cause of death and circumstances surrounding McNeely's death remain unclear.

McNeely competed for Tila Tequila's heart in 2007 on the first season of A Shot at Love. The MTV reality series featured 16 heterosexual men and 16 lesbian women competing for Tequila, who is bisexual.

McNeely was eliminated in the fourth episode because Tequila thought he seemed to fall in love with her too quickly and so something just didn't feel right about him.

McNeely also appeared on six episodes of the MTV series That's Amore! in 2008. Serving as his right-hand man and adviser, McNeely helped the show's star Domenico Nesci find his true love in the Shot at Love spinoff.
