American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban advanced or cut 80 of the Season 14 hopefuls in the Solo Round during Thursday night's broadcast on Fox.

Each singer took the stage one by one and performed a solo for the judges. If he or she impressed enough to move forward in the competition, the judges advanced them to the next "Idol Showcase" Round, during which 48 contestants will take the stage at House of Blues on Wednesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 19 from 8-9PM ET/PT.

The following contestants survived the Solo Round: Riley Bria, a 17-year-old student from Springhill, TN; Rayvon Owen, a 23-year-old singer and vocal coach from Richmond, VA; Joey Cook, a 23-year-old server from Woodbridge, VA; Trevor Douglas, a 16-year-old student from Fort Worth, TX; Daniel Seavey, a 15-year-old student from Portland, OR; Jax, an 18-year-old musician from East Brunswick, NJ; and Alexis Gomez, a 22-year-old Spanish tutor from Dayton, OH.

More singers who advanced were Loren Lott, a 22-year-old actress from San Diego, CA; Quentin Alexander, a 20-year-old retail associate from New Orleans, LA; Mark Andrew, a 29-year-old landscape forearm from Eden Prairie, MN; Maddie Walker, a 16-year-old student from Ankeny, IA; Shi Scott, a 19-year-old artist from Belcamp, MD; and Clark Beckham, a 22-year-old street performer from Whitehouse, TN.

Three more artists who are still in the running are Nick Fradiani, a 29-year-old musician from Guilford, CT; Michael Simeon, a 21-year-old farmer from Lumberton, MS; and Tyanna Jones, a 16-year-old student from Jacksonville, FL.

Nine hopefuls were shown being eliminated from the competition.

They were Adam Lasher, a 27-year-old songwriter and performer from Danville, CA; Katherine Skinner, a 15-year-old student from San Francisco, CA; "Big Ron" Wilson, a 24-year-old accountant from Gretna, FL; and Jess Lamb, a 29-year-old singer from Cincinnati, OH.

Alex Shier, a 19-year-old musician from Port Huron, MI; Piper Jones, a 24-year-old substitute teacher from Nashville, TN; Naomi Tatsuoka, a 24-year-old musician from Portland, OR; Lovey James, a 16-year-old student from Portland, OR; and Alexis Danielle Granville, a 17-year-old student from Zachary, LA, were also ousted.

American Idol's "Idol Showcase" begins next week and will continue to narrow down the fourteenth season's contestants.
