American Idol determined it's Top 14 contestants and eliminated six hopefuls, including Backstreet Boys' member Brian Littrell's son Baylee Littrell, during the Season 23 episode that aired Monday night on ABC.

The remaining 10 contestants would be "in the danger zone" and must sing a song for survival in the hope of becoming one of four judges' picks.
American Idol judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie had to collectively decide which four contestants in jeopardy would be able to sing another day in the American Idol competition.
The 10 artists with the most votes who automatically made the Top 14 included Breanna Nix, a 25-year-old stay-at-home mom from Denton, TX; Canaan James Hill, a 17-year-old content creator from Dallas, TX; Filo, a 23-year-old musician from Dublin, CA; and Gabby Samone, a 23-year-old child care specialist from Baltimore, MD.
Jamal Roberts, a 27-year-old PE teacher from Meridian, MS; John Foster, an 18-year-old college student from Addis, LA; and Kolbi Jordan, a 26-year-old people and culture generalist from Tulsa, OK, were also high vote-getters.
Jamal, John and Kolbi were also joined by Mattie Pruitt, a 16-year-old high school student from Eagleville, TN; Slater Nalley, an 18-year-old high school student from Atlanta, GA; and Thunderstorm Artis, a 29-year-old musician from Haleiwa, HI, in the Top 14.
The 10 contestants who had to sing for survival included Amanda Barise, a 27-year-old musician from Manhattan, NY. She sang "Ain't No Way" by Aretha Franklin for the judges in the hope of being saved.
Baylee Littrell, a 22-year-old college student from Alpharetta, GA, performed "All of Me" by John Legend for survival.
Che, a 28-year-old singer from Essex, England, took the stage with "Jealous Guy" by John Lennon.
Desmond Roberts, a 26-year-old music teacher from Orange County, CA, sang "Titanium" by David Guetta featuring Sia.
Drew Ryn, a 28-year-old musician from Chino Valley, AZ, performed "Million Reasons" by Lady Gaga in the hope of exiting the danger zone.
Isaiah Misailegalu, a 17-year-old high school student from Las Vegas, NV, sang "Sleepwalker" by Sammy Johnson.

Josh King, a 24-year-old airport pianist from Matthews, NC, attempted to impress the judges by singing "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley.
Olivier Bergeron, a 23-year-old truck driver from Kedgwick, New Brunswick, performed "It's Not My Time" by 3 Doors Down for the Idol judges.
Victor Solomon, a 26-year-old fast food driver from Peoria, IL, performed "Stayin' Alive" by Bee Gees for his survival song.
And Zaylie Windsor, an 18-year-old musician from Safford, AZ, belted out "Still Into You" by Paramore for a chance to stay in the competition.
Carrie, Lionel and Luke ultimately chose to advance Desmond Roberts, Josh King, Che, and Amanda Barise to the Top 14.
When the judges' picked four singers to continue on in American Idol, the following six contestants were eliminated: Baylee Littrell, Drew Ryn, Isaiah Misailegalu, Olivier Bergeron, Victor Solomon, and Zaylie Windsor.
While the 10 "danger zone" contestants had to sing for survival, the 10 contestants who automatically made it into the Top 14 got to sing out of celebration with no pressure on them at all.
Breanna Nix performed "The Show Must Go On" by Queen, Canaan James Hill sang "Stand" by Donnie McClurkin, Filo took the stage with "Skyfall" by Adele, and Gabby Samone performed "Don't Rain On My Parade" by Barbra Streisand.

Mattie Pruitt took the stage with "In The Stars" by Benson Boone, Slater Nalley performed "This Ain't It" by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Thunderstorm Artis sang "I Love You" by Billie Eilish.
