The Teen Mom star was found unconscious in her home with a rope around her neck and immediately rushed to the emergency room at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson, IN where she is currently being treated, Star Magazine reported Tuesday.

According to a source, the 21-year-old reality TV star was reportedly discovered around noon on Tuesday, and Portwood subsequently confessed to hospital employees she had taken pills.

"It's believed she may have taken an overdose of some kind of pill," the source told Star. "She also may have tried to tie a piece of rope or string around her neck."

Portwood was discovered after Gary Shirley, her on-again, off-again fiance, apparently grew worried about the mother of their two-year-old daughter Leah after talking to her via phone call and felt it necessary to send his mother over to her house to check on her, Star reported.

Shirley's mother was let into Portwood's home and then found her out cold on a couch, according to the source. An ambulance and police officials reportedly arrived at the scene soon after to take the reality TV star to the hospital, where she later regained consciousness.
