Alfonso Ribeiro will be filling in for Tom Bergeron on Monday night's broadcast of Dancing with the Stars.

The Dancing with the Stars host has announced he will miss tonight's live broadcast to be with his ailing father.

"I'll miss 2morrow's #dwts to be at my Dad's bedside. He's given me a lifetime of support. Time to return the favor," Bergeron tweeted Sunday night along with a photo of the pair taken when Bergeron was a young boy.

Ribeiro, who also served as a guest judge on last week's Dancing with the Stars broadcast, then revealed he would be replacing Bergeron in a heartfelt Instagram posting in which he reposted Bergeron's photo.

"I will be filling in for @tombergeron tomorrow night on @dancingabc. I will be there with a heavy heart for my friend Tom and the Bergeron family," Ribeiro wrote.

Ironically, Ribeiro also just replaced Bergeron as the new host of America's Funniest Home Videos, which Bergeron left at the conclusion of last season.

"He's very happy for me. I was his pick from the beginning to take his place [on America's Funniest Home Videos]," Ribeiro told Us weekly last week."That's a wonderful thing."
