Wipeout will follow a similar format to last summer's highly-rated first season, with each one-hour episode featuring 24 contestants attempting to make their way through various obstacles designed to provide an endless assortment of crashes, face plants, impacts and wipe outs.

After four rounds of eliminations, the last remaining contestant wins a $50,000 prize.

John Henson and John Anderson will both reprise their hosting roles for the show's second season, as will co-host Jill Wagner.

ABC renewed Wipeout for a second season last summer after it was the highest-rated debut summer series on any network among the Adults 18-49 demographic since Dancing with the Stars' first season in 2005.

In addition to Wipeout's second-season premiere, ABC also announced that Here Comes the Newlyweds' second season will debut Monday, May 25 at 10PM ET/PT and I Survived a Japanese Game Show's second season will premiere Wednesday, July 8 at 9PM ET/PT.

Later in the summer, ABC also plans to debut two additional new reality series. The Superstars, a celebrity-themed Superstars revival that will pair celebrities and professional athletes into two-person teams that will compete in various sporting events, will premiere Tuesday, June 23 at 8PM ET/PT while Dating in the Dark, a dating series that will follow single men and women as they go through all the usual motions of dating without ever actually seeing each other, will debut Monday, July 20 at 10PM ET/PT.

ABC had previously revealed The Bachelorette's fifth season, which will star Jason Mesnick's former The Bachelor suitor Jill Harris, will premiere on Monday, May 18 at 9PM ET/PT.
