Paris Hilton's first interview after leaving a California jail may not be with ABC, which says it's not interested, or NBC, which said nothing's scheduled.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress is in Century Regional Detention Center, Lynwood, Calif., serving a sentence for violating probation in a DUI case.

An ABC News executive said the network, whose request for the first post-prison interview was initially rebuffed, has rejected an offer Friday from the Hilton family to give that interview, The New York Times reported on its Web site.

ABC's decision followed reports that NBC made the Hiltons a huge offer -- which would have gone toward production materials such as videos and photographs.

NBC never acknowledged making such an offer. A spokeswoman said Thursday, "NBC News does not pay for interviews."

A spokesman for the Hiltons, Michael Sitrick, said in a statement Paris Hilton would not receive payment of any kind for the interview and the family never sought payment.

As of late afternoon Friday, no interview with NBC was scheduled. An NBC News executive said no announcement of an interview was expected.
