90 Day Fiance stars Jon Walters and Rachel Bear are explaining why he picked her up at the train station instead of the airport in light of backlash on social media.

After a year and a half of dating online and about 3,000 hours of talking on the phone, this was a momentous occasion in the couple's life.
Fans were therefore shocked and disappointed in Jon when he didn't meet Rachel at Heathrow airport and instead asked her to hop on a train -- with her baby girl and heavy luggage in tow -- to Paddington Station. Rachel had already been traveling for hours, and she was exhausted.
When one fan asked Jon on Instagram why he couldn't meet Rachel at the airport considering she had traveled so far to see him, Jon replied, "I can't tell you why but she wasn't alone."
Jon continued in his comment, "And the arrivals lounge has its own train station and I was one stop 10 mins [sic] away. I know it looks like I'm a tool -- but there was a reason."
Rachel also defended her 34-year-old boyfriend, who works in waste management.

"We can't talk about certain things at the moment, but there is a very good reason for it," Rachel wrote on Instagram.
In Touch Weekly reported Jon's explanation seemed a little suspicious as it takes about 50 minutes to travel from Heathrow airport to Paddington Station on London's regular subway system. However, there is also a Heathrow Express train that travels non-stop from Heathrow airport to Paddington Station in about 15 minutes and that is presumably the train Jon was referencing.
But fans will apparently find out what happened that day later on in the season.
"This was filmed last year -- and what you saw was our first kiss," Jon said of the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days footage. "I can't tell you anything which will be explained later on on the show. Thank for your support."

Rachel was clearly a little frustrated during Sunday night's episode that she had to take a train considering she was fatigued, but once she saw Jon face-to-face for the first time, she cried with excitement and the pair engaged in a few passionate kisses.

Any anger she had definitely went out the window in that moment.
