90 Day Fiance star Jenny Slatten claims Sumit's parents lied about not knowing she and Sumit were a romantic couple when she first visited Sumit in India and stayed at their house, and a 90 Day Fiance producer apparently believes Jenny.

Sahna and Anil insisted they had no idea Sumit and Jenny were more than friends until they discovered Sumit was spending time in Jenny's room late into the night.
"She wanted to marry him, but we didn't allow her to marry him. She has been in an inappropriate relationship with him. She should have treated Sumit like her son," Sahna said of Jenny on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.
However on a new episode of 90 Day Bares All that was released on Discovery's new discovery+ streaming service this week, Jenny challenged those claims after host Shaun Robinson welcomed Jenny, Sumit, Sahna and Anil through videochat, and the group watched back similar footage of Sumit's parents suggesting Jenny had fooled them.
Anil said Jenny and Sahna had some great times together in India because they had been under the impression Jenny was just Sumit's Facebook friend, and Sahna added, "I never thought they were more than just friends. But after seeing this, I don't like her at all."
After hearing what Sahna and Anil had to say in the footage, Jenny essentially collapsed and vented, "Oh my God."
Jenny put her face into her hands and said on 90 Day: Bares All, "I mean, my understanding was she knew that we were in a relationship and that we loved each other -- and that I was coming to India to marry him!"
Anil shook his head side to side as Jenny continued, "As a matter of fact, when I first came to their house, I was walking up the stairs and his mom was standing at the top of the stairs. She saw me coming up the stairs and she said, 'Send her back.'"
"Okay, if we were just only friends, then why send me back?!" Jenny said. "Why? What was the problem, if we were just only friends?"

Sahna argued, "I didn't think she was my son's prospective wife. I never thought of that. Neither will I think of her that way even in the future."

Sumit's brother Amit and sister-in-law Shree then joined the virtual conversation.
Amit said the family was made aware Sumit had a friend named "Jenny" who was going to visit India from the United States.
"We were not thinking much about that, like they were having a relationship or any other thing. We were not aware of anything," Amit insisted.
"Oh my God," Jenny lamented. "You need to stop lying. We've been together since 2011!"
Sumit, remaining oddly quiet during the interview, asked Jenny not to shout at his family, and Jenny explained she was simply "pissed off" about the alleged lies.
Afterward, Shaun was joined by 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's supervising producer Shawn, who shared his unique perspective on Jenny and Sumit's relationship.
"Were Sumit's parents aware that Jenny and Sumit were in a relationship when she first went to India?" Shaun asked the producer.

"I really do believe that. But I think they've blocked it from their minds at this point and that they feel that they were led astray by her looks and who she was."
"But when she did show up, I believe that they knew," Shawn reiterated. "But they deny it at this point."

When asked why Sahna and Anil might be denying Jenny's recall of events, Shawn explained, "I think maybe they kind of feel bad maybe that they invited her over to India and once she was there, they realized that maybe this is a relationship that they will not support."
Also on 90 Day: Bares All, Sumit's father expressed how Jenny is "a very good lady" but simply too old for his son.
"Most of the people in the world marry each other with the same age group. Less than one percent of people marry with so much of [an] age difference," Anil said.
"No! Wrong," Jenny replied, shaking her finger at Sahna and Anil.
Anil said there tends to be a 1-10 year age difference with most married couples and there are few situations in which a man marries a woman double his age.
"That is not a good pair. After some time, Sumit's only duty will be to take care of Jenny. Sumit is 32. Jenny is 64. In ten years, Jenny will be 74," Anil said.
Jenny pointed out she's not 64, and then Anil repeatedly shouted, "Who will take care of my son?!"
Jenny yelled that she's in better health than both Sahna and Anil, and Sumit acknowledged his parents' opinion was not going to change.

"We keep on trying to explain to them that happiness is everything. They are hoping that we are going to fight and end up soon and I will go back home."
Jenny and Sumit have starred on two seasons of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.
The first season featured Jenny moving to India with the intention of marrying Sumit and staying there permanently, but she later discovered Sumit had been married to another woman for two years and his family was ashamed and furious over Sumit's affair with Jenny.
On Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Sumit divorced his wife and ended up giving Jenny a promise ring to symbolize his commitment and lifelong devotion to her.
Sumit claimed he wanted to marry Jenny more than anything, but he decided not to go through with a wedding in order to avoid ruining his relationship with his disapproving parents completely.
Sahna threatened to commit suicide if Sumit made Jenny his wife, and so Sumit changed his mind and disappointed Jenny once again.
Although Jenny wants more out of her relationship with Sumit, the pair continue to live together in India. Jenny revealed on 90 Day: Bares All she has filed an extension on her Tourist Visa every month to continue her stay in India amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
