"Ashley underwent surgery where they placed a catheter into her abdomen," the post reads.

"This is for access site to begin peritoneal dialysis today. Doctors are hopeful that dialysis will be temporary and that it will aid in helping her kidneys repair themselves."

On Sunday afternoon, Ashley took to social media and posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed. She revealed she had been found unresponsive in her home on Sunday morning and would soon begin dialysis for acute kidney failure.

A GoFundMe account was also started up this past weekend, allowing donators to help Ashley pay for her medical and hospitalization bills.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Ashley's GoFundMe page raised over $2,200 for the 90 Day Fiance star.

In the Tuesday Instagram update, the posting shared, "There is a chance [Ashley] can go home tomorrow and be looked after by home health care nurses. Please continue to pray that this works and that Ashley will not need a kidney transplant."

"Either way Ashley will be down for quite some time," the post continues.

"Please continue to pray for Ashley and if you are able to help I know Ashley is very appreciative. Information to help is in Ashleys Bio. I wish everyone a blessed day! #lupuswarrior #kidneyfailure #dialysis #tlc #90dayfiance."

When Ashley's hospitalization was initially disclosed on Sunday, an unidentified person wrote on Ashley's Instagram Stories, "Please send prayers and positive vibes to Ashley. [Her] battle with lupus has put her into kidney failure. She is in the ICU and is finally responsive. Prayers for her children as well. Thank you!"

Ashley was previously hospitalized due to lupus, a chronic autoimmune disorder, twice in December 2018.

Ashley's health crisis comes at a difficult time in her life, as her marriage to 90 Day Fiance star Jay Smith is on the rocks.

Ashley has been in turmoil trying to decide whether to leave Jay -- and send him back to his native country of Jamaica -- or give him another chance and allow him to stay in the United States after she had caught him flirting with other women on Tinder just a couple of days after their Las Vegas wedding.

Jay recently vowed to treat Ashley right and never hurt her again, but all trust has been lost in their relationship.

Ashley said on 90 Day Fiance's sixth-season Tell-All special that aired on Sunday night she's not sure whether the couple can ever come back from this and be happy together again.
