90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson is opening up about her decision to file for divorce from husband Jay Smith only a few days before the new season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? is set to premiere on TLC.

Ashley, 32, filed for divorce from Jay, 20, in a Pennsylvania court on Tuesday, and the newly-single mother told Us Weekly on Thursday she is "devastated" by the breakup and the love she had for him was "real."

Just hours after the divorce news broke, Ashley attended a skin-care event in New York City on Thursday.

"I've been a train wreck all week, but I'm trying to get out," the Pennsylvania native told Us. "I had my heart broken."

Although Ashley has threatened to split from Jay multiple times and even filed for divorce once before on January 11 -- and withdrew the paperwork just eleven days later on January 22 -- she claims her marriage to Jay is definitely over this time.

"Cheating is not okay," Ashley said, reportedly pointing out the divorce papers cite "adultery" as the reason she is ending the marriage.

Rumors have recently circulated on social media that Jay cheated on Ashley and got another girl pregnant; however, Ashley has not commented on the alleged mistress and pregnancy.

"We're not on good terms," noted Ashley, who first starred on Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance with Jay.

Ashley reportedly explained she "pretty much" threw Jay out of their shared home two weeks ago.

"We don't live together anymore, but he lives in my hotel," Ashley revealed.

Other than expressing her sadness, Ashley reportedly stayed tight-lipped about the details of their split since some of it will play out on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, which premieres on Sunday, April 28.

Ashley, however, didn't want to leave her fans in the dark, and so she told Us that's why she posted a caption Thursday on Instagram about being a "broken little girl" behind her strong female image.

"I am devastated. I was just trying to be transparent with my fans because it's not on the show, the ending, so I'm kind of letting them know that things weren't good, but being vague because we are still filming," Ashley disclosed.

Claims Ashley filed for divorce first surfaced on Wednesday when 90 Day Fiance blogger Johnny Yates posted photos of a divorce filing dated April 23 that he appeared to have obtained directly from Ashley.

However, while the documents were signed and dated, they did not contain a court filing stamp -- leaving it unclear whether Ashley had actually filed the divorce filing, or only completed the documents.

The documents state Ashley filed for divorce in Cumberland County, PA, and allege Jay -- whose formal name is Conroy and is referred to as such in the divorce filing -- committed adultery during the course of their 11-month marriage.

Ashley and Jay tied the knot on May 16, 2018 in Harrisburg, PA, before celebrating their union with a more traditional ceremony in Las Vegas.

90 Day Fiance's sixth season showed Ashley and Jay's relationship hit the skids when Ashley caught Jay messaging other women on dating apps only a couple of days after their wedding, and the season ended with Ashley unsure whether she wanted to continue the marriage.

After Ashley filed for divorce three months ago but quickly came to regret her decision, the couple seemed fine until Ashley accused Jay last week on social media of being a "disgusting cheating ass" and using her car and money to go to a stripclub.

Not only did Ashley change her bio section of Instagram to "Single AF" at the time, but she also did not deny the breakup when a fan asked about her current relationship status.

Ashley has said she hopes Jay will be deported back to Jamaica, and she might just get her wish.

According to photos of arrest warrant and removal proceedings documents blogger Yates posted Sunday on Instagram that are dated February 4, Jay has been ordered to appear in court on May 8 for a hearing that may result in his deportation.

The documents state Jay arrived in the United States on a K-1 visa that only allowed him to stay in America until June 3, 2018 and he has been living in the U.S. without any legal authorization since then.

As a result, Jay is "removable" and the Department of Homeland Security has initiated removal proceedings against him.

Given Ashley and Jay did end up getting married after he arrived in America, the documents seem to indicate Ashley never filed the additional "adjustment of status" paperwork that would have allowed Jay to remain in the United States legally following their wedding.

Ashley has been engaged three times but only married once.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s upcoming season will reportedly feature Ashley and Jay trying (unsuccessfully, apparently) to rebuild trust in their relationship following Jay's late 2018 dating-app scandal.
