Colt, a 33-year-old software engineer from Las Vegas, NV, is engaged to Larissa, a 31-year-old from Brazil.

Colt lives with his mother, Debbie, and their cats. After striking out a few times trying to date American girls online, he decided to look outside of the country, and that's when he met Larissa from Brazil during a trip to Cancun, Mexico.

It only took five days for Colt to realize he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Larissa, and so he proposed marriage to her. As shown in the premiere of 90 Day Fiance, Larissa is now waiting to obtain her visa in the mail so she can fly to the United States and the couple can get married.

Colt worries Larissa's expectations about money and Americans, however, are unrealistic and she may receive "a rude awakening" upon getting settled in his home.

During an exclusive interview with Reality TV World via email, Colt and Larissa talked about their relationship and the obstacles they must overcome together. Below is what they had to say.

Reality TV World: What has been the biggest issue in your relationship and why?

Colt Johnson: Both Larissa and I would say that the biggest issue we have in our relationship is our different styles and methods of communicating. Not only do we have a language barrier between us where context is often lost, but our personalities and the way we express ourselves are different too.

Reality TV World: How confident were you, Colt, that you were going to marry Larissa when she arrived? Did you view the 90 days as a test window to see if the relationship could really work long-term, or had you been certain you two were going to get married from the moment she arrived?

Colt Johnson: I knew that I wanted to marry Larissa as soon as I saw her at the airport, like the arrow that springs from the bow, my choice was clear.

However, I did not know if we could actually live together. At this point I had only spent about 11 days with her in person so the real test of getting along under one roof would be the 90 days.

Reality TV World: Larissa, what were your personal and professional goals for coming to the United States? Are you looking to start a family with Colt? If so, how quickly?

Larissa Christina: My major goals in America is to open my own business and to improve my English. Colt and I do not have any plans to start a family, we really want to focus on our personal goals first.

Reality TV World: Larissa, TLC teased you had high-priced demands upon coming to America, so could you elaborate on what those demands were as well as your expectations?

Larissa Christina: I would not say that I demand high-priced things, I want simple things. I do not care about brands or luxury, but I do like to look amazing. I like to buy clothes, shoes and makeup.

Reality TV World: Colt, did you have any doubts about Larissa or concern she might be using you to have a future in the United States, that she might "flip a switch" once upon arrival and be someone different?

Colt Johnson: I absolutely had no doubt about Larissa's intentions in America. I know in my heart that she loved me and wanted to be with me. I know we haven't spent a lot of time in person, but I feel confident that the woman I fell in love with and spent so much time with online will be the same person in America.

Reality TV World: Larissa, did you fear everyone was always going to question your motives for coming to the United States? If so, how did that make you feel?

Larissa Christina: I fear because those people can influence Colt for bad and I am someone fierce that will not allow anyone to tell me what to do in my relationship.

Reality TV World: Colt, TLC says you're a mama's boy who became used to your mother taking care of you. How important was it to you that your mom approved of Larissa, and would you view it as a dealbreaker if she didn't? I know your family was skeptical of her intentions.

Colt Johnson: It was very important that my mother approved of Larissa. She is really the only family that I have left but also we would all be sharing the same house together.

However, if she did not approve of Larissa it would not be a deal breaker. I have to live my own life and make my own choices, even if the world is against me.

Reality TV World: Colt, what is your vision of your future with Larissa? Do you see yourselves continuing to live with your mother? Are you looking to have a family? If so, how quickly?

Colt Johnson: I see Larissa and I living together, traveling, making plans and living life to the fullest. I have a family with Larissa, my mother, and my cats.

I do not know if I will always live with my mother but she will always have a home for as long as I am alive.
