Along the way, they've encountered challenges that included large age gaps, language barriers, cultural issues, and questionable pasts.

Below is an update on each 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days couple based on the latest episode of Season 3.

REBECCA and ZIED

Zied did not take the news Rebecca was still technically married well. Of all the scenarios Rebecca had ran through her mind of how the conversation could have went, Zied taking off on an ATV and leaving her behind in the Sahara Desert was not one of them.

Rebecca feared she had lost Zied over this dark secret she had shared, but once she returned to their tent, Zied was there.

Rebecca begged Zied to talk to her, but Zied insisted this situation wasn't normal and she couldn't believe Rebecca was still asking to be with him.

Rebecca felt sick to her stomach and broke down into tears. Zied said this was "no good" in Arabic culture and it simply wasn't okay that he stay with a married woman. However, Rebecca reminded him that she and her soon-to-be ex-husband had both filed the divorce papers.

Rebecca explained the paperwork was not finished yet but the divorce would probably be finalized a week after her return to the United States. Rebecca didn't want Zied to leave her.

"I was hoping to marry Rebecca, but now in my mind, I don't know what I will do with Rebecca," Zied told the cameras, adding that he hated how Rebecca's ex was also an Arabic man.

Rebecca promised Zied that she had no more secrets.

"I hate this so much," Zied said.

"You know I am only yours. I am for you, only," Rebecca insisted.

Zied wished he could believe that whole-heartedly, but in that moment, he told Rebecca that he still loved her and understood. Zied even noted their fight should be finished.

Rebecca felt bad for everything she had put Zied through and worried he was second-guessing their relationship.

"I want this to work with everything that I am. I would do anything," Rebecca said in a confessional.

BENJAMIN and AKINYI

Akinyi joined Benjamin and her father John's conversation. Benjamin and John had just started the bride-price negotiation, but Benjamin could tell something was wrong because he wasn't supposed to see Akinyi until the end of the discussion.

Benjamin worried he had reached the end of his relationship with Akinyi, but John said he only welcomed Akinyi into the conversation so she could help him with the negotiation.

Akinyi's brother then asked Benjamin to get right to the bride price, and Benjamin said while there was no monetary value he could put on Akinyi, he had 60,000 shilling with him that day, which is about $600 U.S. dollars.

Akinyi admitted Benjamin's offer was "embarrassing" and she worried it wasn't enough. Akinyi hoped she could marry Benjamin because she loved him, but that's all the money he had.

Benjamin said he couldn't let the bride price interfere with him taking care of his son back home.

John explained life was very expensive and hard in Kenya and so he couldn't accept Benjamin's bride price. John said Akinyi deserved more than that, especially because of the family she was raised it.

"You need to do something much better than that. Something that will make her feel proud to be marrying you," John told Benjamin.

Benjamin said he understood the amount he had offered wasn't enough for Akinyi and her worth but he'd hopefully be able to accumulate more money in the coming months.

John said if Benjamin could keep paying in the days to come then he would accept the arrangement. With that being said, Benjamin had made it through the ceremony, and Akinyi and her family celebrated with two well-decorated cakes.

"I'm married in Kenya," Benjamin told the cameras.

Benjamin wasn't sure how much more money he owed, but Akinyi said her new husband must ask John and simply send the rest in due time.

Akinyi was happy but said Benjamin should have asked her father for a specific amount of money or else he might get stuck paying the bride price for the rest of his life.

Benjamin and Akinyi woke up the next day as man and wife, and Benjamin predicted they'd have a happy life together. The couple was able to sleep in the same bed and consummate their marriage, and Akinyi said the encounter "went well."

Akinyi told Benjamin that they had chemistry, but there was still more to talk about. Benjamin, for example, was anxious over how much more money he'd have to pay and mail.

Akinyi had asked Benjamin to negotiate with her parents because she didn't know what to tell him. Benjamin wanted to do things the right way, but Akinyi simply said he didn't go to the bride-price negotiation prepared and he needed to fix it.

Benjamin hoped John would tell him once he sent enough money, but neither Akinyi or himself were sure that was going to happen.

During Benjamin's last night in Kenya, he and Akinyi enjoyed a nice dinner out together. Benjamin knew he may not see Akinyi for a while because the visa process takes some time.

Akinyi learned Benjamin had not told his family and friends yet that he was married, and she was shocked, confused and concerned. Benjamin said he wanted to tell them in person, but Akinyi got the feeling he wasn't proud of his wife.

Akinyi started crying at the restaurant, but Benjamin told the cameras people were going to be skeptical and would not understand or accept his decision to marry someone after two weeks of knowing each other in-person. Benjamin wasn't looking forward to explaining himself to people.

Benjamin was about to leave Kenya with his wife mad at him.

CAESAR and MARIA

Caesar had been back from Mexico for two weeks. He had been dating Maria for five long years but the pair had never met and Maria had been unable to travel to Mexico because the airline had canceled her reservation due to insufficient funds in his account.

Caesar said even thought Maria had broken his heart, they began talking again about a week after he had left Cancun. Caesar said Maria had texted him first and asked to start over again because she loved him and missed him.

"We're back together now. Yeah, I guess I can say we're back," Caesar noted.

Since Mexico, Caesar had sent Maria about $2,000-3,000. Caesar felt bad for Maria and wanted to help her out; he didn't think she was using him.

Caesar hoped everything would work itself out.

After telling his friends that his relationship with Maria was over, Caesar sat down with one of his best friends, Jeremy, to inform him that they were actually back together.

Caesar told Jeremy that he was going to hold onto Maria's engagement ring because Maria had sent him a text message, apologizing and asking him to resume talking again.

"I have a feeling this time it's going to work," Caesar said.

Jeremy thought Maria was lying to Caesar and stringing him along for money. Caesar gushed about how he was in love with Maria and couldn't stop thinking about her, but Jeremy said the romance should have ended in Mexico.

Maria apparently asked Caesar to meet her in Cuba, and he said he'd do "whatever it takes" to be with her. Caesar had loved Maria for five years and was not willing to give up on her.

Jeremy pointed out something was wrong and said, "How many times is it going to take for you to realize what she's doing?"

"I've still got feelings for her, you know?" Caesar asked.

Jeremy called Caesar "the most gullible person" he's ever met in his life and said it seemed like Caesar was never going to learn his lesson. Jeremy seemed to give up on his friend, thinking there was no sense he could talk into him.

Caesar understood why Jeremy had reservations and a bad attitude towards Maria, but he was feeling nothing but joy, anticipating and optimism.

AVERY and OMAR

Avery was back in Columbus, OH, with her mother Teri, and the pair drove to see an immigration lawyer together so she could get her visa started and hopefully bring Omar over to the United States.

Avery knew it would be difficult to obtain a visa because of the travel ban in Syria, but she hoped being married to Omar would speed up the process. If the visa didn't work out, Avery told Teri that she'd be moving to Syria.

Avery told her mother that she would still see her if she chose to move, but Teri said Avery was being unrealistic about moving to Syria and it simply wasn't a reasonable choice. Teri told the cameras Avery did not understood the dangers that would await her.

When Avery and Teri sat down with a lawyer, Avery said Omar had no criminal record and was in school aspiring to be a dentist.

Avery insisted Omar was a good man, but since he lived in Syria, the lawyer said, "Unfortunately, he wouldn't be able to get a visa because the government is prevented from issuing visas" to the citizens of that country.

"But we can request a waiver so that the travel ban may be waived for him," the lawyer added. "However, the waiver process, it's really uncertain how long it may take -- if at all."

A typical case took about a year, but the lawyer said this case could take significantly longer since a travel-ban was in place. He also told Avery that less that five percent of travel-ban cases are actually approved for a waiver.

Avery started crying at the meeting and vented to her mother, "I don't want him over there!... I'm just worried about him. I'm sorry... I was expecting good news. I don't know why."

The lawyer told Avery that they could still try and start the application process because applications still being accepted and were just remaining pending and not actually being denied.

The lawyer added that if Avery moved to Syria, it would lower her chances of obtaining a waiver.

Avery had to show she lived in the United States, made money in the U.S. and could support her spouse if he happened to move here. The lawyer also said separation would prove hardship for the couple, which would only better Avery's chances of getting what she wanted.

"Do you think going over there and ruining his chances of coming here is worth you going over [to Syria] for a few months?" Teri asked her daughter.

"I'm scared," Avery replied as her cried in her hands.

Teri wanted Avery to be with her husband, but she said Avery was still young and immature and just jumped into things without knowing the consequences.

Avery decided to start the process immediately even though chances of it working were slim.

"At this point, I'm married to someone -- I don't know if I'll ever actually be with him. We have a lot of plans and we were really excited and thought everything was finally pulling into place," Avery cried in a confessional.

"This is not the news I expected to hear."

Avery determined she and Omar must find another place to live together, even if the location wouldn't be desirable or ideal.

Avery suggested Qatar, Dubai or Kuwait as possible options, but Teri didn't want to say goodbye to her daughter.

Avery struggled with what to do next because she didn't want to leave her family behind. Avery wanted to watch her brother grow up, and she'd miss her mother terribly.

Avery realized that in order to start a family of her own, she'd have to neglect and leave behind the family she already had, and that left Avery feeling very emotional.

TIMOTHY and JENIFFER

While Jeniffer was modeling for a photo shoot, Timothy watched her daughter Violet nearby.

Jeniffer thought her promise ring was "trash" because it once belonged to Timothy's ex-fiancee, Veronica, and so she had taken it off. Timothy realized giving Jeniffer the ring wasn't the best idea, but he wanted Jeniffer to think about the meaning of the ring rather than where it came from.

"That's bullsh-t," Jeniffer said, adding that she'd wear the ring on her middle finger so Timothy would remember he must replace it.

Timothy's time in Colombia was running out, and he was just glad Jeniffer was wearing the ring. Jeniffer, however, said she wanted to choose her next ring and she hoped for a big emerald-cut diamond.

Jeniffer thought the promise ring was the best decision for them because neither person was ready to get engaged or married yet. However, Jeniffer and Timothy told each other that they loved each other deeply. Jeniffer said she loved Tim's mind, heart and more -- even though he pissed her off sometimes.

Jeniffer said it was difficult for her to trust a man but she trusted Timothy and loved watching him with her daughter. Jeniffer said Violet is the most important thing to her and so it meant the world to watch him bond with her daughter.

"I think Tim could be a good husband and a father, and I love to see him with my baby... He's just an amazing person and I'm going to miss him," Jeniffer told the cameras.

Timothy was sad about leaving Colombia, but at the same time, he was very excited about their future and looked forward to spending more time together.

But before Timothy left, he noted there was something they had to take care of -- and he needed to leave Colombia "with a bang." Timothy said it was important he and Jeniffer "get intimate" that night or else he'd have to leave Colombia with a huge piece of their relationship missing.

At 5AM, Timothy was packing up his belongings and admitted Jeniffer had fallen asleep early because they were both exhausted.

Timothy was leaving Colombia, and Jeniffer said she wasn't looking forward to feeling empty. However, the couple didn't have sex the previous night, and Timothy noted it had been "a long trip."

RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE: HAPPILY EVER AFTER?' COUPLES NOW: WHO IS STILL TOGETHER? WHO HAS SPLIT? WHERE ARE THEY NOW? (PHOTOS)

Timothy couldn't believe Jeniffer had fallen asleep on him and was disappointed.

"I wanted to have sex, and I was waiting for him to make a move on me, but he didn't try. He never tries to do nothing to me. Like the other nights either. He had two weeks and he didn't use an opportunity, so I was too tired last night and just fell asleep," Jeniffer said.

Timothy said sex should've happened that night and he was "really annoyed and frustrated."

The pair bickered on their way to the airport and the Violet started to cry. Timothy didn't know whether he and Jeniffer were "sexually compatible," and he worried their lack of physical intimacy might push Jeniffer away.

Timothy admitted he had messed up by not trying to have sex with Jeniffer throughout the trip.

Jeniffer told Timothy not to blame her for not having sex because she was tired just one night of their time together and he had squandered multiple opportunities.

However, the couple didn't fight, and they hugged and kissed each other goodbye. Jeniffer said it was an "intense" experience in both a good and bad way but they loved each other.

Jeniffer told Timothy that she couldn't wait to see him again. Although the pair fought during their stay together, Timothy said he was committed to Jeniffer and had faith they could make their relationship work.

DARCEY and TOM

Darcey had been with Tom for three weeks, and she said through all of their ups and downs, they had really connected and grown more intimate with each other. However, Darcey was still hoping Tom would express love for her.

Tom then took Darcey to the location where the legendary Robin Hood had married Maid Marian.

Darcey told Tom that he was her Robin Hood, and he was feeling "extremely good" about their relationship although her trip to England hadn't been perfect.

RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE: BEFORE THE 90 DAYS' COUPLES NOW: WHO IS STILL TOGETHER? WHO HAS SPLIT? WHERE ARE THEY NOW? (PHOTOS)

"I'm glad we're both on the same path, and I do see a future for us together," Tom told the cameras.

Later that evening, Tom planned a special dinner with champagne for Darcey. He said the time they had spent together was "absolutely fabulous," and Tom toasted to spending time with the most beautiful woman he had ever met.

Darcey said she was in "awe" of Tom and found herself speechless over his sweet gesture, and Tom told Darcey that he was actually in "awe" of her and she did little things "perfectly well" that really made his day. Tom was also taken with her red lipstick.

Before diving into their dinner, Tom proposed a toast "to loving," which seemed to surprise Darcey.

Tom said, "Here's to loving and to knowing what love is -- and knowing that when you have it, you should hold on to it."

"I do love you," Tom told Darcey. "I've always loved you. I'm actually in love with you, very much so."

"I love you," Darcey replied.

Tom then presented Darcey with a small box, and she clearly thought an engagement ring was going to be inside. However, Tom offered her the key to his house instead.

"You can come and go as you please," Tom noted.

Darcey seemed disappointed and laughed that maybe she could turn his key into a necklace. Tom said although Darcey wanted and probably expected an engagement, they weren't in the right time or place at the moment.

Tom said the key was a promise he'd always be there for Darcey, and he definitely had hope for their future together.

"The craziness aside, she is the most wonderful, genuine person. She's got a heart of gold. She makes me want to be a better person, and I'm happy that I do finally know that I love her," Tom told the cameras.

Darcey was optimistic about her future with Tom, but she was well aware of how hard long-distance relationships can be. However, Darcey insisted she and Tom were meant to be together.

It then became time for Darcey to leave Tom and fly back to America. She was proud of Tom and herself for sticking it out during tough times, and she hoped for the best.

"You might be a little crazy, but you are my type of crazy," Tom told Darcey. "It's not going to be easy."

Darcey told Tom that she was only a phone call away, but Tom warned her that he was going to be extremely busy over the next 10 days.

Darcey told Tom that she didn't know how to say goodbye, but he replied, "It's not goodbye; it's see you soon... I do see a future with us together."

Tom acknowledged he and Darcey still had "bridges to cross" but he wanted to cross them together.

The couple then hugged and kissed at the airport. Darcey was a little scared of the unknown, but she was invested in her relationship with Tom 100 percent and intended to give it her all.

When Tom left Darcey, he actually felt the need to run back into the airport to hug her and kiss her again. He picked her up, swung her around and expressed his love for her.

"He came back. That was beautiful. I just hope we can stand until the end of time with our love," Darcey said in a confessional. "Only time will tell."

ANGELA and MICHAEL

Angela and Michael were headed to their engagement party, and Angela only had a few days left in Nigeria with her fiance.

Angela was starting to trust Michael, and she was looking forward to the big family event.

"But I am nervous as crap," Angela admitted.

Not only would Angela be meeting members of Michael family she had never met, but Angela also had to tell Michael's mother that having a baby with her son was going to be "very tough."

Angela only had one egg she couldn't use, and her daughter Skyla was not willing to donate her egg. Angela therefore didn't know what was going to happen, and she acknowledged Michael's mother Aduke may not want Angela for her son considering they couldn't produce a family together.

Angela met Michael's brother Yekini and was then reunited with Michael's mother. There were beautiful gifts to open and a dinner table set with matching colors.

Angela was dressed in traditional garments and tried to gain the confidence to present herself to everyone.

"I've never even worn a bandana," joked Angela, who was asked to wear a large headpiece.

Everyone wished Angela and Michael well, and Angela felt loved and a part of his family. She thought the celebration was wonderful, and everyone seemed to accept and embrace Angela.

Angela, however, then broke the news to Aduke about her visit to the fertility clinic. Aduke was thrilled to hear Michael and Angela had been to a fertility clinic, but obviously the results were not favorable.

Angela said her uterus looked beautiful and she could carry a baby. She really struggled to tell Aduke about her egg and lack of a donor because she didn't want to lose Michael.

Angela therefore decided she'd try to have a baby "one way or another," because she wasn't prepared to lose the love of her life or disappoint and distress Aduke.
