"It's an adventure with the people who make Macy's happen every day," Executive Producer Glenda Hersh says.

Hersh and her production company, True Entertainment, filmed the series at Macy's flagship store as well as stores in Florida and Los Angeles, the New York Post reported.

The reality show speaks to the WE network's female audience.

"Women love the whole concept of retail, the fun and the glamour, so it's in line with our brand," network general manager Kim Martin said.

The series that premieres Sept. 30, will provide insight into the store's marketing, public relations, fashion and event-planning departments. The audience will also get to see what goes into planning the Thanksgiving Day parade and Macy's catalog.

"We're pulling back the curtain on this giant store." Hersh said.

One story line follows twin brothers who exhibit their shoe designs at a Las Vegas industry trade show and make a connection with buyers who decide to carry their line.
