VH1 has announced the premiere of Scott Baio is 45... And Single, a new reality series that will follow the former Charles in Charge star and teen heartthrob as he seeks help for his commitment phobias and confronts romantic demons from his past.
Baio burst onto the television scene at the age of 16 when he played the role of Chachi Arcola on Happy Days, which led to his role in the show's spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi. He eventually found success in his own sitcom Charles in Charge, which led to a romantic relationship with co-star Erin Moran. Over the last 20 years, he has since been romantically linked to former Baywatch actresses Pamela Anderson, Erika Eleniak and Nicole Eggert; Desperate Housewives actress Nicolette Sheridan; and actresses Brooke Shields, Denise Richards, and Heather Locklear (among others).
However none of those relationships panned out, and now Baio finds himself in the midst of a mid-life crisis and starring in his own reality series. Scott Baio is 45... And Single will follow Baio over the course of eight weeks as he spends time with life coach Dr. Alison "Doc Ali" Arnold, attempting to right the wrongs of his past. Each half-hour episode of the series will have him confront different chapters of his former self, with the end goal for Baio being able to finally maintain a long lasting relationship.
