VH1 has announced it has renewed Scott Baio is 45... And Single for a second season, but given the ending of the show's first season, the reality series may need a title change.

The first edition of the show, which premiered in July, followed the former Charles in Charge star and teen heartthrob as he went through a two-month counseling "boot camp" designed to help him right the wrongs of his romantic past and finally be able to maintain a long-lasting relationship.

Sunday night's broadcast of Scott Baio is 45... And Single's first-season finale ended with the commitment-phobic Baio completing his two-month program with life coach Dr. Alison "Doc Ali" Arnold and taking the plunge and popping the question to girlfriend Renee Sloan.  However after accepting his proposal, Sloan had her own surprise for Baio -- she's pregnant with his first child, which the couple is expecting in December.

Scott Baio is 45... And Single's second season will follow Baio as he readies himself for fatherhood -- to both his expected newborn and Sloan's 18-year-old daughter -- as well as how he's coping with tying the knot after bedding a bevy of beauties over the years.

Production on Scott Baio is 45... And Single's second season is scheduled to begin this fall and is slated for a nine-episode run consisting of six half-hour and three hour-long installments.

Scott Baio is 45... And Single was created by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey of Bischoff Hervey Entertainment, who also serve as executive producers along with Baio.  Executive producers for 3 Ball Productions are JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson and Adam Greener.
