Fantasia For Real will continue to follow American Idol third-season winner Fantasia Barrino as she struggles to balance life as a single mother to her 8-year-old daughter Zion while also writing and recording her third studio album, which is expected to be released this summer.
The second season is currently slated to premiere later this year.
In addition to renewing Fantasia For Real, VH1 also ordered seven new reality series -- You're Cut Off!, Money Hungry, My Big Friggin Wedding, Wedding Wars, Diary of a Hip Hop Girlfriend, Estranged with Dr. Drew, and Beso: Waiting on Fame -- as part of an aggressive programming slate aimed at young-adult viewers.
