VH1 announced it has ordered Football Wives, a new spin-off of its Basketball Wives docu-reality series that will instead follow the spouses of professional football players.
"Building on the success of Basketball Wives, we want to take a look at the differences and challenges of being the better half of a player in America's most popular sport," said VH1 programming executive Jeff Olde.
"We are thrilled to expand this franchise and give viewers access to a new, unique and exclusive world that you have to see to believe." Similar to Basketball Wives, which premiered last month, the new docu-reality series will follow the players' wives in their everyday lives. The eight-episodes series is being produced by Shed Media.
