Like last fall's Top Model 3, Top Model 4 will feature fourteen finalists -- making Top Model 4 the first edition of the series to not feature more contestants than its proceeding edition.
As in previous editions, Top Model 4's contestants will attempt to master the runway, fashion photo shoots, perfect publicity skills and learn the business aspects of becoming a supermodel -- all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance of the America's Next Top Model cameras.
Tyra Banks will once again lead this season's judging panel, which will also feature returning judges Janice Dickinson, the self-described "world’s first supermodel," photographer Nigel Barker, and stylist Nolé Marin. Tyra, Jay Manuel, and J. Alexander will also return as the girls' mentors, with additional special guest judges joining the panel on a weekly basis.
Ranging in age between 18 and 25, Top Model 4's contestants include three Californians, three Floridians (including two from Tallahassee), and unlike previous seasons, no token "plus size" contestant.
