Phoebe might have gotten married on a supersized Friends and The Apprentice might have gotten an early jump on its charity auction, but CBS' emotion-filled third episode of Survivor: All-Stars still held up well in the ratings.
While the numbers were slightly below last week's second episode ratings and second behind NBC's Friends performance, they are not surprising considering last night's heavily-hyped Friends wedding episode drew an Adults 18-49 figure that was 16% above its year-ago performance. Although the Friends episode ran until 8:45 PM PT/ET, Survivor still enjoyed tremendous growth in the 8:30 PM ET/PT time period -- rising +13% in households (13.8/20 from 12.2/19), +14% in adults 25-54 (10.4/23 from 9.1/21), +13% in adults 18-49 (8.5/21 from 7.5/20) added 2.87 million viewers (23.79 million from 20.92 million) and won the time period in viewers. Final Thursday ratings will be available later today.
