NBC has announced the seventh season of The Voice will premiere with a two-hour episode on Monday, September 22 at 8PM ET/PT.

Another The Voice broadcast will then follow the show's debut and air on Tuesday night, September 23, from 8-10PM ET/PT.

The Voice's seventh season will feature mainstay coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as well as newbie coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. Stefani is an edgy solo artist and the lead singer of No Doubt. Williams is a Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee.

Stefani will be taking Shakira's place after the Latin artist had temporarily replaced original coach Christina Aguilera last season. Aguilera was expected to return to the reality singing competition for its seventh edition but is newly engaged and currently expecting a baby girl with fiance Matthew Rutler. Aguilera will therefore return to the show and sit in one of the four big red chairs for Season 8.

Williams will be taking Usher's spot next season. Usher had filled in for original coach Cee Lo Green after the artist/producer had announced his permanent departure from The Voice in February 2014 after four seasons of starring on the show.

The Voice's sixth season concluded with Josh Kaufman being crowned champion. He had been mentored by Usher. Kaufman beat out runner-up Jake Worthington and third-place finisher Christina Grimmie for the title. Worthington had been mentored by Shelton, while Grimmie was on Levine's team.
