The Voice coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are reportedly ready to get married after four years of dating but can't yet due to Gwen's faith.

Since Gwen is Roman Catholic, she doesn't want to have a wedding until her first marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale -- who reportedly cheated on the former No Doubt singer during their 13-year marriage -- has been annulled.

"Blake was very serious about Gwen right from the start, and early on he thought about proposing," a Gwen insider told People.

But Gwen reportedly hopes to tie the knot with Blake in a Catholic church, which "isn't possible currently," explained the insider.

Gwen, 50, split from Gavin, 54, in 2015 and their divorce was later finalized in 2016. The pair, however, share three sons together: Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5.

Gwen filed for divorce from Gavin, who allegedly had a long-term affair with their children's nanny, right around the same time Blake was finalizing his divorce from country singer Miranda Lambert.

Gwen and Blake, 43, first met each other while filming The Voice, and what started out as a friendship blossomed into romance when the pair helped each other through their devastating breakups.

Gwen and Blake confirmed they're dating right after Halloween in 2015, once multiple photos surfaced of the couple engaging in PDA and spending a lot of time together.

But regardless of whether a wedding happens, Blake and Gwen are reportedly still going strong.

According to a friend of the couple, Gwen and Blake believe they've found "The One" in each other and are "very serious" about their relationship.

"It's definitely headed toward marriage," the friend told People, adding that Blake has become a second father to Gwen's kids and the singers' respective families have grown close.

"They're all very like-minded and comfortable with each other."

Even though Gwen isn't a country singer, Blake's fans and acquaintances in country music reportedly like them together.

The pair also recently collaborated for a new love song, "Nobody But You," which will be featured on Blake's new album Fully Loaded: God's Country coming out December 13.

"Gwen brings this sparkle to the country world," the friend added. "Her love for Blake is clear, and she's been embraced by everyone."

Blake and Gwen, who both currently star on The Voice's seventeenth season as coaches, also just bought a house together in October.

"They fall more and more in love with one another, and their happiness quotient keeps rising," the friend explained.

Just last month, The Voice contestant Rose Short told Us Weekly that a marriage proposal from Blake to Gwen is "coming."

"They had a moment," Rose insisted, before recalling a sweet behind-the-scenes moment she caught on The Voice set.

"We were backstage getting ready and she was getting her makeup done. He stopped and it was like -- so much going on that nobody saw it but me -- but he was standing there and he looked at her like he was so proud. So it's gonna happen."

"He's smitten by her," elaborated the "Team Gwen" member, who will compete in The Voice finals. "He's going to ask. He is in love with that lady. You could see it all over him."

Engagement and marriage rumors have followed the couple ever since they got serious.

The Voice airs its Season 17 finale next Monday and Tuesday night on NBC.
