The San Diego Union-Tribune said the officers were hired through the city's special events division after neighbors complained about traffic and noise caused by fans of the show, as well as rooftop lights used to tape it.
While the officers will keep the peace around the house, the show's producers promised to turn off the outside lights at 10 p.m., the newspaper said.
The 26th season of the series will be taped until September.
