The Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa has opened up about intimacy issues she's had with new husband Romain Zago for quite some time.

Krupa, a former swimsuit model, has admitted Zago rarely wants to have sex with her and it's taking a toll on the newlyweds' relationship.

"He can go forever without it. Then when we have a conversation, it turns into an argument," Krupa told Life & Style.

"He doesn't feel anything is wrong -- and I just want to be thrown down."

However, the couple is reportedly working on the problem, scheduling sex therapy sessions and specific times when they can make love to ensure they're staying sexually active.

"Sometimes it's once a week, sometimes every other week, sometimes every three weeks," she revealed. "We made a commitment when we got married. I just want to feel the passion."

Krupa told the magazine the businessman and nightclub owner's distance initially had her fearing the worst.

"Of course his lack of interest in sex had me question if he was cheating," the reality TV star explained.

Although she apparently once discovered flirtatious emails between Zago and another woman on his computer, Zago swore he had never been unfaithful.

"Since I met him, something was off," Krupa noted.

But after three months in treatment, Krupa is growing to understand where her husband is coming from.

"I now feel that the issue of him not caring to have sex as much as I do has to come from his childhood," she said.

Krupa and Zago tied the knot in June "in a million dollar princess wedding" in Southern California after being engaged for over three years, according to Us Weekly.

Krupa joined The Real Housewives of Miami for its second season, which premiered late last year. She also participated in the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars in which she finished in fourth place with professional partner Derek Hough.
