The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner says that after a difficult and emotionally-taxing journey, his last choice between Theresa Nist and Leslie Fhima was actually a simple one.

Gerry will finally have to make a choice between his Final 2 bachelorettes, but he admitted he actually wasn't conflicted after Fantasy Suites and the decision wasn't an agonizing one during a recent appearance on the "Life is Short with Justin Long" podcast.

"All of the decisions that I made throughout those Rose Ceremonies, those were all hard. I'm not going to lie, they were very difficult -- not just emotionally but also from an intellectual perspective," Gerry shared with actor Justin Long.

"But the very last choice was an easy choice."

Gerry explained how his conversations "without witnesses" in the Fantasy Suites with Leslie and Theresa were very "revealing" and very different from their on-camera conversations.

"You kind of hold some potential red flags in your back pocket until you can actually discuss them, because it would be totally inappropriate for some of it to be on TV," Gerry said.

"But once you get into the Fantasy Suites and you have those conversations and you get those answers, then you go, 'Oh, oh my god. I know. Here it is. This is easy.'"

Gerry said he's thankful to have found his person through The Golden Bachelor process because it was a sacrifice for the entire cast to film the season.

"The only thing I was worried about was going through the whole process, having all the sacrifices made, losing all that sleep, and not coming to an end that I was happy with," Gerry explained.

"You pay all those dues, and so you want to get your payday at the end. And I did!"

Gerry has already said, "I love you," to both Leslie and Theresa, and a preview of the finale shows Gerry looking at an engagement ring and worrying about having to break someone's heart. At one point, Gerry even cries to host Jesse Palmer that he may have made a "mistake."

But according to Gerry, he has no regrets and The Golden Bachelor ended exactly the way it was supposed to.

"I enjoy how it ends," Gerry told Justin. "I'm completely comfortable with the way it ended. I have no second guesses. It's perfect!"

Gerry insisted that the woman he chose is his perfect match, even though he had developed feelings of love for multiple women.

"When I was down to three women [including Faith Martin] and I had genuine connections with them, you know, I loved them in my own way," Gerry said.

"[But] it's important to remember that when I got to the end of the journey, I did find the one person who was right for me. Yes, there was a lot of pain and a lot of sorrow, but I had to constantly remind myself, 'This is my own journey, and I need to get to that final goal -- the right one -- for me.'"

During a recent interview with his local Indianapolis Star newspaper, Gerry revealed he's still with his winning bachelorette.

"I picked the greatest woman in the world," Gerry gushed.

And Gerry said he's in a much better place than he had been prior to signing up for The Golden Bachelor.

"I'm happier today, by far," Gerry admitted.

"There's so much more opportunity and I've gotten to know so many great people. I've had great experiences; and my family has had great experiences along with me that they would have never been afforded."

The Golden Bachelor star reiterated how "so many positive things" have happened to him since agreeing to be the senior spinoff's star.

Gerry also recently confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "Yeah, [I'm in love]. Yes."

Show host Jimmy Kimmel joked about how Gerry probably wasn't supposed to give that away, and so Gerry played coy and quipped, "But I didn't say with whom, you know, I love my daughters."

Back in September, Gerry seemed thrilled about his life and relationship status during an appearance on Good Morning America.

When asked if he's in love, Gerry replied with a huge smile on his face, "Well, if I didn't, would I be sitting here smiling from ear to ear?! I can't tell you I did, though."

Gerry also previously told Entertainment Weekly, "I'm so pleasantly surprised by how things ended, there's absolutely no regrets."
