The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett confronting her brother Royal's wife Angenette about being an alleged scammer and Nicole Jimeno revealing to her mother that Alejandro is still married to another woman during the Season 2 broadcast Monday night on TLC.

Angenette accused Royal of telling her that he felt alone, like he had no family at all.
Royal apologized to Chantel for allegedly calling her "stupid," and then he also said "sorry" to his wife.
Chantel's family planned to attend the wedding, and Chantel noted, "We'll see how it turns out."
Meanwhile, Nicole Jimeno woke up in the Dominican Republic after she calmed down and decided to give her boyfriend Alejandro a chance to talk to her.
Alejandro brought Nicole red roses and wanted to make up with her, and Nicole said she wasn't happy.
"You know I love you, but it's not something you should have exaggerated so much over," Alejandro said.
Nicole admitted she didn't react well in front of his family and she understood that Alejandro shows his affection through giving gifts, especially since that was a good option for their long-distance relationship.
Nicole kissed Alejandro and forgave him for not telling her that he had bought his previous girlfriends gifts and presents, but her mother still wasn't happy. Nicole was just glad her mother Lidia was willing to talk to Alejandro again and be open.
Alejandro said winning Nicole's mother's approval was very important to him, and Nicole said she couldn't imagine Alejandro not being in her life. Nicole was ready and willing to have confrontation with her mother in the name of love.
Chantel's family then took a long 14-hour drive to Angenette's home, where she and Royal were going to get married.

If Angenette's mother was after a life in the United States and a Green Card, the family worried Angenette might have been after that all along with Royal as well.

There was an elephant in the room during the drive, and Chantel brought up how Angenette's mother had changed her Facebook page to Luna that very morning, which appeared to be an attempt to cover up the name under which she had contacted Chantel's uncle.
Chantel told everyone that Angenette and/or her mother were apparently "trying to hide something," and Pedro finally felt like he looked like the good guy in the family.
"It's crazy. I think it's insane. I think it's a scam. Whoever it was reaching out to my brother is in the business of extortion. We know a scam when we see one... We aren't going to be extorted for money! Silly Rabbit, Trix are for Kids!" Karen told the cameras.
After a long journey, the family finally arrived to Angenette's family's home. The Everett family received a warm welcome, and Angenette's family was excited about Angenette getting a visa to live in the United States because it had been her dream for a while to live in America.
Angenette's siblings said Angenette wanted to work in the United States and send money back to her family.
Angenette's parents thought Royal was very handsome, and Karen brought gifts to all the ladies -- including cosmetics and hair products. Karen also gifted Angenette's mother a purse and bracelet.

Angenette showed Chantel's family her tiny house and kitchen, and then everyone enjoyed a feast. Chantel's father Thomas said he welcomed Angenette into the family like his own children, and Pedro felt the conversation was forced and he wanted Chantel's family to speak the truth.
Chantel, however, didn't think it was the right time to confront Angenette's mother and create tension. And Angenette worried her husband's family was going to spark drama.
Since Angenette's mother doesn't even speak English, Karen and Chantel determined Angenette had been the one to contact Ron on her mother's behalf.

Meanwhile, Lidia was feeling great about having kicked Alejandro out of her house. She said he smelled like cheap perfume and was not courting her daughter correctly. Lidia didn't understand what Nicole saw in Alejandro.
Lidia was shown telling her colleagues at work how Nicole had a boyfriend living in New York and he entered her house with a suitcase, which she threw outside the house.
Lidia's colleagues advised her to feel Alejandro out and get to know him if Nicole was truly in love, but Lidia just said she was frustrated, annoyed and simply didn't want to.
Lidia expressed concern Nicole was going to "abandon" her and move to the United States. Lidia didn't want to be left alone, and so she didn't know how to proceed with the situation.
Lidia's colleagues asked her to give Alejandro a chance, and she seemed to consider it.
Chantel then met up with Angenette alone.
"Angenette told everyone that the person who was messaging my uncle had a different last name and it wasn't her mom's last name and therefore it wasn't her mom," Chantel explained to the cameras.
"I discovered the last name has changed, but I haven't told Angenette yet.

Chantel also insisted Royal had never lied to her and so she wanted the truth about whether Angenette had been talking to other American men before dating Royal.
"No, I was not talking to any other guy," Angenette replied with a smile.
"So my brother lied to me?" Chantel asked with skepticism and disbelief.
"Obviously, maybe he is. I don't know. I'm just telling the truth," Angenette said.
"I don't trust you," Chantel noted.

Chantel called Angenette for telling different stories about her mom using Facebook.
"Why would you [initially] say that wasn't your mother [on Facebook]? Because it was," Chantel said.
Angenette suggested other people were using her mother's account, and Chantel said Angenette once again "flipped the story" and was clearly "up to no good."
Chantel told Angenette that she wasn't treating Royal well because she dished all of her husband's secrets and feelings to his family that was supposed to be between them as a couple.
Angenette apologized for that and said everything was okay between Royal and herself, and Chantel said that's why Royal probably didn't trust him.

"You're always miserable in the United States. You said that yourself, so why don't you just stay here?" Chantel asked.
Angenette then broke down into tears and the conversation appeared to be over. Angenette took off her microphone and threw it on the ground and called her talk with Chantel "nonsense."
Angenette told the cameras she was very angry, and then Chantel admitted to her parents she had made a mistake by telling Angenette not to return to the United States with them.
Karen comforted Chantel and told her that everything was okay, and then the family explained to Royal what was going on.
Karen accused Angenette of doing "Facebook fraud" against their family, and Royal said they were just trying to start "a mess" and some drama. Royal told his loved ones that he was getting married and it was supposed to be the greatest moment of his life.
Royal called his family "ridiculous" for making such a big deal out of the Facebook account that may or may not have been Angenette's mother.

Royal told his family that they were welcome to attend the wedding as long as they didn't say or bring any "bullsh-t" with them, and Royal said it's important for a family to keep things to themselves sometimes.
Karen called Royal "delusional" and maybe "blinded by love or science" because he loved Angenette.
"It doesn't take rocket science to figure this out," Karen noted.
Nicole and Alejandro were then shown meeting with Lidia again, and Nicole hoped her mother was going to give her boyfriend a chance. However, the pair had yet to reveal that Alejandro was still technically a married man.

Alejandro told Lidia his mother was a lawyer who died eight years prior and his stepfather who raised him was a doctor. Alejandro said his father died when he was young but was also a lawyer.
Alejandro said his brothers, uncles and cousins all still lived in the Dominican Republic.
Alejandro admitted he was embarrassed to see Lidia again and it was difficult for him. Alejandro said he never meant to offend Lidia by assuming he could stay at her house and it would never happen again.
Alejandro said he really wanted Lidia's approval of their relationship, and Lidia noted she had accepted his apology but with reservations.
Nicole then broke the news that she was in a "complicated situation."
"We want to be completely honest with you... I'm very nervous right now. Look, Alejandro is still married," Nicole revealed.

"I told you!" Lidia replied. "He's a dirtbag."
"But I'm in the process of divorce," Alejandro assured her.
"He's a dirtbag because he dates women being married. Listen to me, he is married and he is hurting another woman. He will hurt you too," Lidia told Nicole, before telling Alejandro, "You've been telling me lies from the beginning!"
