The Bachelor star Sean Lowe says he's remaining celibate until marriage because he no longer wants to act selfishly.

"From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time," Lowe, a Christian and born-again virgin, told People in a cover story interview in the magazine's latest issue.

"Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right."

And his fiancee Catherine Giudici apparently has no problem respecting Lowe's wishes.

"I honor him," she said, adding that she's simply excited to take their relationship out of hiding.

"Now, we can be a normal couple and hold hands in public!"

Lowe is equally as thrilled to be with Giudici and looking forward to marrying her this summer.

"We just fit so well together. We both know it's right," he told People

Lowe selected and proposed to Giudici over bachelorette Lindsay Yenter during The Bachelor's seventeenth-season finale, which filmed on November 17 and aired on ABC Monday night.
