The Bachelor's Lauren Bushnell is finally ready to open up about her recent split from Devin Antin, her boyfriend of more than one year.

"Not everything works out, but it's good to give it a try and give it your best," Lauren, 28, told Us Weekly on Tuesday.

Reports of Lauren and Devin's breakup surfaced late last month, with an insider telling E! News they were "on and off for a couple of months" before deciding to part ways once and for all.

The insider said at the time the breakup was difficult for Lauren because she really loved Devin and it just "was not working."

"A breakup is hard, especially the first few weeks or month," the former flight attendant explained.

"It's hard when you have to see the person, so I think it's good to unfollow and not to be petty or anything, but just so you don't have to see what they're doing. It's not healthy to know what the other person is doing all the time, and I think that in today's day and age is what makes the breakup really hard."

Prior to dating Devin, Lauren had been engaged to The Bachelor's Season 20 star, Ben Higgins, who had popped the question during the show's March 2016 finale.

But after more than one year together and starring in a spinoff, Freeform's Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, the couple announced their decision to break up in May 2017. Lauren told People one month later their differences came down to compatibility and there was no blowout fight or bad blood between them.

It took Ben quite a while to get over his failed relationship with Lauren, but she moved on within a couple of months by getting romantically involved with Devin, whom she had met on Tinder prior to appearing on The Bachelor.

Lauren met up with Devin as friends once she moved out of Ben's home in Denver, CO, and returned to her family and friends in Los Angeles, CA. What began as a spark then quickly evolved into a relationship.

After a couple years of ups and downs in the love department, Lauren is apparently not ready to date again.

"Not right now, no. I'm going to need a second. It's funny, I always was so scared to be alone, but now I'm really cherishing the alone time to grow and reflect on what worked and what didn't and really make sure I take my time this time around, because I did kind of rush into it last time I think," Lauren told Us.

"So I'm actually very much... I'm very content on my own right now."

Lauren said she intends to "physically make a list of what I want and what I don't want" in a future partner.

But Lauren insisted her perfect match will have a sense of humor, a good personality, and similar values and life goals.

As for whether the blonde beauty would date anyone from Bachelor Nation, she admitted, "I feel like I'm in an open place where I want to settle down, I want to meet that person that I can spend my life with, and I would never close a door before it's open."

Lauren is focusing on herself for the time being and offered some advice to those who are also suffering from a broken heart.

"Surround yourself with family and friends, but also take time to be sad and, like, it's okay to cry. It's okay to feel things. It's actually really good to feel it rather than just numb yourself," Lauren noted.

When Ben was recently asked whether he'd be open to reconciling with Lauren now that she's single again, he told People, "Well, you've got to talk to her!"
