The Bachelor season starring Nick Viall has yet to begin airing, but rumors are already swirling about bachelorettes appearing on the show for the wrong reasons.

According to a source, bachelorette Lacey Mark dumped a man back home in order to compete on The Bachelor's 21st season, Life & Style reported.

Mark, a 25-year-old digital marketing manager from Manhattan, NY, was reportedly dating a singer named Jackson Harris but ditched him to go on the show.

"She just went MIA," an insider told Life & Style. "Jackson found out later it was because she went on The Bachelor. She didn't even tell him!"

If Mark called it quits on a blossoming relationship with a man to fight for the Bachelor's heart on national television, is she really looking for love -- or fame?

"She had been on a few dates with Jackson Harris, a handsome NYC-based singer-songwriter, and then one day disappeared," an insider close to Mark told In Touch Weekly. "Turns out she went MIA because she left to film The Bachelor!"

Another source told the magazine that Viall's group of women definitely have questionable intentions.

"Nick had no idea what he was getting into when he agreed to be the Bachelor," the source said. "Not only are the girls overly obsessed with fame, but a lot of them are hiding things from him."
