The Amazing Race has unveiled its cast of 13 teams who will be racing around the world on Season 36 this spring.

CBS has announced The Amazing Race will feature 13 brand new teams when Season 36 premieres with a 90-minute episode on Wednesday, March 13 at 9:30PM ET/PT, immediately following a new episode of Survivor.

The Amazing Race will star a former NFL player competing with his wife, a pair of firefighter moms, a team of military pilots, and twin brothers among others.

The Amazing Race will be hosted by Phil Keoghan and air 90-minute episodes all season long.

Phil will kick off the Race in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where the 13 new teams must participate in a traditional Mexican rodeo and lasso their way to the first Pit Stop without finishing in last place.

At every destination, each team competes in a series of challenges -- some mental and some physical -- and when the tasks have been completed, they learn their next destination.

Like last season, there will be no non-elimination legs, and so the team to finish last at the end of each leg will be eliminated.

Along the route, Racers will paraglide in Colombia, rally car race in Argentina, swim through waterfalls in the Dominican Republic, visit music icon Rihanna's childhood home in Barbados, and visit two new countries.

"This season of The Amazing Race features a cast of adventurous thrill-seekers. We always want to challenge our cast and surprise our viewers, so we are excited to travel to two new countries along the route," executive producers Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri said in a statement.

"The 90-minute episodes are returning, which really allows us to delve into the countries on the route and get to know our amazing cast. We are ready for a global adventure like never before."

Last season, "Brothers" Greg Franklin and John Franklin won The Amazing Race's 35th season and the one million dollar prize.

Below are the 13 teams and their CBS-supplied descriptions who will be competing on The Amazing Race 36:
