Following its debut episode, The Amazing Race will air in its regular timeslot from 8-9PM ET/PT on Wednesday nights beginning on May 27.

The Amazing Race's 32nd season will premiere a week after the three-hour finale of Survivor: Winners At War airs on May 13.

"When Survivor wraps one of its best seasons ever in May, we're excited to schedule another signature reality series, The Amazing Race, to step seamlessly into the time period," CBS executive Noriko Kelley said in a statement.

On the Season 32 premiere of The Amazing Race, which will once again be hosted by Phil Keoghan, eleven new teams will begin their race around the world at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA.

The teams will stop in destinations including Trinidad and Tobago, France, Germany, Kazakhstan and Brazil along their way to the finish line.

The team to cross the finish line in first place will be crowned the winners and receive the $1 million prize.

The Amazing Race's 32nd season completed filming in December 2018, long before the current global outbreak of coronavirus.

Production of The Amazing Race's 33rd season, however, was suspended mid-Race in February due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Due to increased concerns and uncertainty regarding the coronavirus around the world, CBS and the producers of The Amazing Race have taken the precautionary measure of temporarily suspending production on the 33rd season of the series," a CBS representative told Variety in a statement at the time.

"All contestants and production staff are in the process of returning home. At this time, no Racers or anyone on the production team [traveling] with them have contracted the virus, or shown symptoms, and we are not aware of anyone being exposed to it."

CBS said the decision was made "out of an abundance of caution," adding, "Everyone involved in the show will continue to be monitored when they return home. The health and well-being of the Racers and the production team are our top priorities."

The Amazing Race's Season 33 teams filmed through its third leg before production was shut down.

The teams had reportedly already traveled to England and Scotland prior to the sudden suspension of the show's production.

Viewers last saw an episode of The Amazing Race in June 2019, when Colin Guinn and Christie Woods were crowned the winners of Season 31.

The Amazing Race is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Worldrace Productions in association with ABC Studios and Amazing Race Productions.
