The Amazing Race eliminated Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce from the Season 31 competition, right before the final leg when one team will win $1 million, during Wednesday night's broadcast on CBS.

Becca Droz, 28, and Floyd Pierce, 23 -- who raced as friends and former The Amazing Race Racers from Boulder, CO, and Highlands Ranch, CO, respectively -- were ousted from the Race after arriving at the tenth Pit Stop in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in last place.

"It sucks to lose, but we have more to be grateful for than to be sad about," Becca said. "Floyd and I are some of the luckiest people in the world, that we got to live our dream -- not just our dream but our delusional childhood dream."

"Twice," Floyd noted.

The Amazing Race broadcast began in Split, Croatia with former The Amazing Race Racers Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl leaving the previous Pit Stop in first place at 8:53AM.

Teams were instructed to fly about 800 miles northwest to Amsterdam in The Netherlands, the only country in the world that runs 100 percent of its electric trains with wind power.

Upon landing, the teams had to catch a train to the town of Kampen, where they must locate marked tandem bicycles at 9AM.

This was Tyler and Korey's fourth time leaving in first place, but they spent time building relationships with the other teams so they wouldn't target the guys on a U-Turn leg going forward. They hoped to make it to the Final 3 for the second time.

Former Big Brother houseguests Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo departed in second place at 8:55AM, and they were the only non-Race team left.

Those two teams booked the first flight into Amsterdam, arriving at 8PM.

Becca and Floyd then left Split at 10AM and noted they had never passed the tenth leg before, so they were hoping that would change this time around.

Becca and Floyd got on the second flight arriving in Amsterdam at 9:43PM.

Former The Amazing Race Racers Colin Guinn and life partner Christie Woods took off in fourth place at 11:31AM, followed by former Racers Leo Temory and friend Jamal Zadran left, who departed the previous leg at 11:35AM.

And the third flight into Amsterdam, carrying Colin and Christie and Leo and Jamal, was set to arrive at 11:41PM.

However, since the bicycles didn't unlock until 9AM, everyone was going to start the next leg at the same time.

Colin and Christie were the first team to grab a bicycle the next day, and they were instructed to ride to Jachthaven and search on foot for their next clue.

Some of the teams struggled to ride the tandem bicycles at first, but it appeared they got the hang of it over time.

Nicole and Victor snagged their next clue in first place and learned it was time to complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "High" or "Dry."

"High" required teams to hoist a fake cow to the top of a tower to graze on some grass, which is a tradition that still exists today. If the teams could hoist the cow up in under 40 seconds, they'd receive their next clue.

"Dry" required the teams to ride to a farm, which dates back to 1432, volt across a ditch "the Dutch way" -- by pole vaulting -- and then pick up two cheeses and a dozen eggs. The trick, however, was how to get back over the ditch with their cheese and eggs, which they had to deliver to a local market.

Nicole and Victor chose "Dry," while Colin and Christie, who arrived in second place, chose "High." Tyler and Korey also picked the cow task in third place.

Becca and Floyd then found the cluebox and picked "High," as did Leo and Jamal on their heels.

But Becca and Floyd got lost on their bikes trying to find the location of the cow Detour task.

While Victor was able to propel himself up and over the ditch on his first try, Nicole really struggled with the pole vaulting. Victor therefore transported the eggs and cheese over the ditch himself on the way back by pole vaulting back and forth.

Tyler and Korey were neck and neck with Colin and Christie at the cow task, but Tyler and Korey finished seconds ahead of them.

When both teams received their next clue, they discovered a Double U-Turn was ahead with only five teams remaining and no non-elimination legs left in the Race.

Leo and Jamal were then shown finishing the Detour in third place.

Colin and Christie and Tyler and Korey basically arrived at the Double U-Turn board at the same time, and they jointly decided to let the other teams target somebody and work it out.

Korey knew Leo and Jamal would take advantage of the U-Turn once they got there and do the dirty work for them. So Tyler agreed they didn't have to do anything.

Colin and Christie then opened their next clue in first place and were told to pick up a car and drive themselves to Smit Giethoorn boat rental and find their next clue.

Meanwhile, Becca and Floyd finally found the cow task, just as Nicole and Victor delivered their cheese and eggs and finished the Detour task in fourth place.

Leo and Jamal then arrived at the Double U-Turn board and chose to target Nicole and Victor since Big Brother had voted to U-Turn "The Afghanimals" in a previous leg. Leo and Jamal noted it wasn't smart to make enemies in the middle of the Race.

"Nicole, happy birthday!" Jamal laughed.

Once Nicole and Victor got to the board, they realized they had been U-Turned. As a result, they were forced to U-Turn Becca and Floyd.

The two teams crossed paths after Nicole and Victor left the U-Turn board when Becca and Floyd were on their way to hoist up a cow.

Becca and Floyd completed the cow task quickly though and soon discovered they had been U-Turned.

Meanwhile, Tyler and Korey got a little lost heading to the boat rental place, so Colin and Christie managed to get there in first place.

The teams were then instructed to tie several marked boats together via rope and steer their boat train through a crowded waterway to get to the Pit Stop on an island of Bovenwijde Lake.

But Becca and Floyd and Nicole and Victor were busy at work, trying to finish the other half of the Detour.

When Becca and Floyd delivered their cheese and eggs, however, one of the eggs was cracked, and so they realized they had to go back and do the task all over again.

Becca appeared very defeated and upset with herself. She couldn't believe they didn't check the eggs before bicycling all the way to the market.

"We made a really terrible mistake, but at that point, there was really no other option except to go back and get another egg," Floyd told the cameras.

"I'm pissed!" Becca yelled.

Although Becca and Floyd had to repeat the pole vaulting to get more eggs, Nicole and Victor weren't able to hoist their cow in under 40 seconds because they were so exhausted from the leg. Victor had also done most of the pedaling on their bike, so he had little to no energy left.

Nicole and Victor completed both sides of the Detour on their second attempt in fourth place, leaving Becca and Floyd in last place.

After Colin and Christie, teams received their clues at the boat rental place in the following order: Leo and Jamal, Tyler and Korey, Nicole and Korey, and finally Becca and Floyd.

But Leo and Jamal went the wrong way and missed the canal entrance while floating in their boat, so they lost some time. And suddenly, their motor stopped running and they didn't know what to do.

Nicole and Victor actually ran into Leo and Jamal in the waterway as a result, but Leo and Jamal managed to get a new motor quickly.

Colin and Christie stepped on the Pit Stop mat in first place and received $7,500 each for winning the leg.

Tyler and Korey made it to the Pit Stop in second place, and then Leo and Jamal finished the leg in third place.

Both Nicole and Victor and Becca and Floyd were looking for the lake at the same time.

Nicole and Victor, however, made it to the Pit Stop in fourth place, and Nicole was thrilled to still be in the Race.

Finally, Becca and Floyd docked at the island and arrived at the Pit Stop in fifth -- and last -- place.

Becca and Floyd hugged it out when they learned they had been eliminated from the Race.

"I believed it was our destiny to win," Becca said with tears in her eyes, "but I guess it's just our destiny to take fifth."

But Floyd pointed out it was fate that The Amazing Race brought the two of them together and made them friends. When they previously raced, they paired up blindly and didn't even know each other.
