Steven Spielberg, Mark Burnett team for new 'On The Lot' reality show

Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg and reality TV producer Mark Burnett are working on a Fox TV competition to find the next big director.

"On the Lot" will have aspiring directors competing for a development deal with DreamWorks, Fox announced in news release Friday.
"All through my career I've done what I can to discover new talent and give them a start," Spielberg said in the release. "This opportunity with Mark Burnett, DreamWorks and Fox allows all of us to reach out directly to open a much wider door."
The show is the brainchild of Spielberg, who said he was big fan of reality TV -- especially Burnett's CBS show "Survivor."
Working with Spielberg on the show, set to air next season, is a "dream come true," Burnett said.
