Spencer Pratt isn't putting much stock in wife Heidi Montag's recent decision to separate.

"I'm just hearing speculation. She hasn't filed anything. If I get served papers, then I'll have an opinion. Right now I'm just playing along with this gossip I hear," Pratt told TMZ on Wednesday morning.

"I'm just hearing this from all the media. Everyone keeps saying, 'I heard you got a divorce.' I'm like, 'I didn't know that.'"

Montag -- who wed Pratt in April 2009 -- moved out of the Pacific Palisades, CA home she shared with him early last week, but hasn't filed for divorce. Instead, she stated the couple is "working on things" and she "just needed some space."

Montag plans on spending the summer living with friend Jen Bunney, who has previously stated that their time together will be filmed for a new reality series.

"If Heidi does a show about her being single with Jen Bunney and going to night clubs, I don't know about that. I'm not feeling that," Pratt told TMZ, adding he was "a little shocked" about the new reality project because it didn't include him.

"I thought she'd want to have my star power on the show. But I guess she wants a 'girl' show."

Pratt initially offered "no comment" when asked about Bunney -- who previously appeared on The Hills' second season -- however he eventually opened up.

"Jen Bunney is Heidi's new little best friend that wants Heidi to be single, and Jen wants Heidi to do a show with her... and shopping," he told TMZ.

"I just know Heidi wants to do a show without me. That's what I have heard. So in fame I guess she separated from 'Speidi'... Her and Jen Bunney, there the ones that want to do the girly stuff."

Multiple sources have claimed that Montag and Pratt's recent split is a publicity stunt because The Hills is currently in the midst of airing its final season and the couple has no new projects on the horizon.
