Heidi Montag on Spencer Pratt split: "I needed some alone time"

Heidi Montag claims she recently moved out of the home she shared with husband Spencer Pratt because she "needed some alone time."

"There are so many lies out there about me and I just needed space -- even away from my husband," The Hills star told People on Tuesday.

"I had to get away from the lies my family and supposed friends are saying about me. It's time to concentrate on myself."

Montag -- who wed Pratt in April 2009 -- moved out of the Pacific Palisades, CA home early last week, but hasn't filed for divorce.

"I've always loved Spencer, but right now we're working on things," she told People.

The 23-year-old plans on spending the summer living with friend Jen Bunney, who has previously stated that their time together will be filmed for a new reality series.

In addition, Montag is also working on writing a movie script.
