The publicist for socialist/actress, Elliot Mintz, told TMZ.com several personal items were "illegally seized" from Hilton's storage facility and now tabloid editors are calling with reports of being contacted and offered inside info in exchange for money.

The National Enquirer said it refused such an offer from two people who claimed to have gotten possession of Hilton's items at an auction, TMZ.com said. Another person, claiming to be "a celebrity photo agent" has also been making the rounds, trying to sell pictures allegedly taken from the storage unit.

Mintz said Hilton's attorneys are poised to take action as soon as the perpetrators surface.
