While a deal has not been finalized yet, The Bachelor star will "likely" be one of the celebrities competing on the next season of Dancing with the Stars, Us Weekly reported in its latest issue.

"We would love to have him," an insider told Us.

Dancing with the Stars' sixteenth season is scheduled to premiere Monday, March 18 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC -- one week after the finale of Lowe's The Bachelor edition airs in the same time period on March 11.

ABC will formally announce the cast of Dancing with the Stars' next edition on Tuesday, February 26 on Good Morning America.

Earlier this week, the New York Daily News reported Dancing with the Stars producers were also interested in having former The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard -- who dumped Lowe when he competed for her heart on last year's edition of female-fronted spinoff of The Bachelor -- be part of upcoming season's cast.

The Daily News report followed a December report in which Star Magazine reported Maynard would definitely be part of Dancing with the Stars' sixteenth-season cast.

"When she signed her contract to be on The Bachelorette, ABC also had her sign on to commit to doing Dancing with the Stars. She loves being in the limelight," a source reportedly told Star at the time, adding that Maynard had already known about the gig for six months.
