By Christopher Rocchio, 02/16/2009

OMFG, a Gossip Girls-like reality series is reportedly coming to Bravo.

The network has begun production on a new reality series that will follow a group of New York City private-school students, Broadcasting & Cable reported Thursday.

The series is currently slated to premiere later this year, according to Broadcasting & Cable, which added it is being produced by Scott A. Stone's Stone & Company Entertainment -- which produced the first season of Bravo's Top Design interior design competition and also produces Tim Gunn's Guide to Style for the network.

Neither Bravo nor the production company commented on the series, however "insiders" told Broadcasting & Cable it is "the real-life Gossip Girl."

While CBS previously looked into a reality series following students at the Manhattan private school York Prep only to have the school grow apprehensive about the attention a show might bring, Broadcasting & Cable reported the Bravo series will not feature students from one specific Manhattan school.

Gossip Girl premiered on The CW broadcast network in September 2007 and the scripted drama follows a group of socialite teenagers growing up on New York City's Upper East Side.
