Maximiliano Lopez and Eric Brogmus were arrested by security guards at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on Saturday afternoon while trying to take photographs of guests arriving for Mesnick and Malaney's wedding, Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told Los Angeles' Daily Breeze newspaper on Monday.

"We came out and witnesses in general supported what the security guards were telling," Whitmore told the Daily Breeze. "We took them to the station and cited them out."

Lopez, a 28-year-old from Torrance, and Brogmus, a 22-year-old from Burbank, were cited on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and unlawful blocking of a sidewalk, according to the Daily Breeze, which added both are scheduled to appear in court on March 28.

Whitmore said the incident began when a confrontation occurred between the resort's security and the photographers, leading to the guards asking for citizens arrests to be made.

"Obviously we are going to look into it," Whitmore told the Daily Breeze.

About 300 guests attended the rain-interrupted afternoon ceremony -- including original The Bachelorette couple Trisha and Ryan Sputter, The Bachelorette fifth-season couple Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, fourth-season The Bachelor star DeAnna Pappas and her former selected suitor Jesse Csincsak, and fifth-season The Bachelor bachelor Kiptyn Locke.

Mesnick and Malaney's ceremony will air as part of ABC's previously announced two-hour The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding special on Monday, March 8 at 8PM ET/PT.
