The Palm Beach Town Council met in special session to snuff out a request for fireworks at the wedding of Donald Trump and Melania Knauss.
But city officials were cool to the incendiary plan and unanimously voted it down Thursday night.
"We have not approved any fireworks on land in at least 20 years," Councilman Norman Goldblum said. "It's always been on barges or from the ocean."
A spokesman told the newspaper they did not think the request would be a big deal.
"We didn't realize we would have to go through the council," he said.
