Paige VanZant had an incredible run on Dancing with the Stars, but she's apparently itching to get back to UFC fighting.

"I definitely miss the UFC," VanZant said during a Wednesday appearance on Good Morning America with her pro partner Mark Ballas and the other two couples who competed in Dancing with the Stars' Season 22 finale.

"I've been out of the fight world for a long time, so I miss punching people so bad! But it's been really fun."

VanZant and Ballas finished the season in second place behind winners Nyle DiMarco and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd. GMA meteorologist Ginger Zee and partner Val Chmerkovskiy claimed third place.

When Ballas initially discovered VanZant was going to be his partner this season, he was thrilled.

"I've been a huge fan of the UFC for a long time and I've followed her career and have been to many, many fights. So I was  so excited," Ballas said, adding that they accomplished together what they set out to do.

"[We] showed how strong she is but how feminine she can be also."

VanZant might even be able to put her new moves to good use going forward in her career.

"I definitely think [dance] could help my [fighting] performance," she explained. "Throughout this whole process, it is such a lot of work. And I stayed in athletic shape really well, so I'm excited to get back into a fight. I'm working on signing a fight contract right now, so I will be fighting very soon."

Ballas celebrated his 30th birthday Tuesday night while competing in the Dancing with the Stars finale. The mirrorball trophy would've been the best gift, but he told GMA it was still "a great day."
