Oxygen to debut 'Hair Battle Spectacular' competition on August 10

Oxygen has announced Hair Battle Spectacular, a new reality competition series for fantasy hair design artists, will premiere Tuesday, August 10 at 10PM ET/PT.

Hair Battle Spectacular will feature 10 fantasy hair design artists as they live together and compete against each other in a series of challenges designed to see who can create the most over-the-top coif.

After each challenge, Hair Battle Spectacular's judging panel -- fantasy hair designer Derek J, celebrity stylist Lindsay Albanese and a rotating guest judge --  will critique the contestants on creativity, execution and overall presentation.

One contestant will be eliminated at the conclusion of each episode, with the final winner receiving a $100,000 prize.

Hair Battle Spectacular is hosted by former Baywatch beauty and Dog Eat Dog host Brooke Burns.

Oxygen began developing Hair Battle Spectacular in January, and it is being produced by 3 Ball Productions with J.D. Roth, Todd Nelson and Adam Greener serving as executive producers.

In addition to Hair Battle Spectacular, Oxygen announced Bad Girls Club Miami -- the reality series' fifth season and first to film in South Beach -- will premiere Tuesday, August 3 at 9PM ET/PT.
