Nick Cannon is going to be spending his Christmas holiday in a hospital bed.

The America's Got Talent host revealed Thursday, December 22, on Instagram that he was hospitalized due to lupus complications earlier this week and must receive treatment for several more days.

"For all who have been trying to contact me the last few days this is where I've been. And I will be in the Hospital through Christmas. All good though, Doctors say I will be back to normal before the New Year. #LupusSucks #ncredible #warrior," Cannon captioned a photo from inside his room at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

Cannon, 36, was diagnosed with lupus five years ago after he was hospitalized with kidney failure. The rapper and actor paid another visit to the hospital in July 2016 for exhaustion.

At the time, he shared a similar Instagram post with the following caption: "Don't worry, Temporary pit stop... Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground."

Hopefully Cannon will have visitors this Christmas, but his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, and twins Monroe and Morrocan, 5, definitely won't be among them.

As previously reported, Carey is vacationing in a $22 million Airbnb in Aspen with her new boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, and the kids. Cannon, however, was afforded the opportunity to spend time with his children prior to Carey departing on her elaborate ski trip.

Cannon let fans in on the fun, as he posted multiple Instagram videos last week of himself playing with the twins. They decorated Christmas trees and munched on sweets inside the AGT host's huge "candy room."

Cannon, Carey, Monroe and Morrocan had also traveled to Hawaii together for Thanksgiving.

America's Got Talent recently aired a holiday spectacular special, featuring the return of many stars from the reality talent competition's past 11 seasons, including the latest winner Grace VanderWaal.

Carey's new reality show, Mariah's World, currently airs Sunday nights on E!.
