"This season of Celebrity Apprentice will be the most exciting yet. The show will be great, with a record number of contestants and 15 episodes. We are thrilled to bring 18 new and talented celebrities who will help me make The Celebrity Apprentice one of the hottest shows on television this spring. This will be Season 12 -- Amazing!" The Apprentice star and executive producer Donald Trump said in a statement.

Similar to its four prior celebrity installments, The Celebrity Apprentice's fifth-season cast won't be vying for a job with Trump but will instead be competing in business-related tasks to raise money for their favorite charities.

All of the celebrities' performances will still be judged in the boardroom by Trump and his children Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump.

The Celebrity Apprentice's fifth season -- which represents the twelfth overall edition of the NBC reality competition series -- is being produced by Mark Burnett's Mark Burnett Productions in association with Trump's Trump Productions LLC with Burnett, Trump, Page Feldman, and Nancy Gunn serving as executive producers.

"We've never seen such a smart and funny group as this year's lineup of celebrities," Burnett said in a statement. "Celebrity Apprentice is better than ever, and it's all for a great purpose -- raising millions for charity."
