During its 90-minute debut broadcast, Nashville Stars will take viewers behind the scenes of the sixth-season casting tour -- highlighting some of the best and worst talent that attended the open auditions.

For the first time in Nashville Star's history, the competition is open to duets and trios as well as solo artists and the minimum age requirement has been lowered from 18- to 16-years-old.

Nashville Star's sixth season is the first installment of the reality series to air on NBC after its first five editions aired on its sister network USA.

Hosted by former Dancing with the Stars fourth-season celebrity participant Billy Ray Cyrus, Nashville Star's sixth season will follow the same format as its first five editions.  The winner will receive a recording contract and the opportunity to perform at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, which will commence on August 8 and be broadcast on NBC.

American Gladiators' second season -- which will premiere Monday, May 12 at 8PM ET/PT -- will serve as Nashville Star's Monday night lead-in once the sixth-season of the series debuts on June 9.

Nashville Star and American Gladiators are two of six reality shows NBC is planning to air this summer.

In addition to Nashville Star's sixth-season debut and American Gladiators' second-season premiere, the network also announced that Last Comic Standing's sixth season will premiere Thursday, May 22 at 9:30PM ET/PT; Celebrity Circus will premiere Wednesday, June 11 at 9PM ET/PT; America's Got Talent's third season will premiere Tuesday, June 24 at 9PM ET/PT; and The Baby Borrowers will debut Wednesday, June 25 at 8PM ET/PT.
